I thought there were codes about keeping your property up. I guess no one checks the Nightmare on Elm Street. I have to walk past that house on the corner on my way to work and there's been dead tree branches laying at the curb for over 2 weeks now. I don't know where they cut them from since the trees on their corner haven't been trimmed for years. The branches hang down almost to the sidewalks hitting you in the head when you walk under them. The weeds under the trees are a foot high and are growing halfway across the sidewalk on the Baker Street side of that property too. The grass is so long it's going to seed.

Go to a village board meeting and put the board and codes officer on record.

why are the village workers not noticing this?? aren't they supposed to pick up green waste? does the codes guy drive around like the rest of the village employees with their eyes closed? i thought that the village pays them good money to take care of enforcing the laws and codes. seems to me that they passed a village ordinance dealing with people that do not cut their grass ?? just another ball less move . so typical.

it isn't village employee job to enforce the code violations. as a citizen you can call the code officer if you want to.. you probably are given more per year than a village employee earns, and they actually work for their pay.

Here you go. I know it is difficult to find out the info unless you actually try.

You'll get nowhere on a gossip sight here. If you're really concerned call or go to the Village office and ask Tammy your questions. Unless your main goal is just to complain and be miserable in life then proceed on here.

WHY should I have to spend my time going to a meeting? It's the code enforcer's paid JOB to find and fix violations, not mine. I could see it now, I go, I complain, someone at that meeting is related to the offender and the next thing I know I'm being targeted for harassment. It happens, no thanks. DO THE JOB YOU'RE HIRED TO DO. That's not too much to ask

As a citizen you have the right - and the responsibility - to be involved. If you see something, report it. Otherwise shut up.

Rental property at 48 Dolge Ave: trash piled from floor to ceiling on front and back porches. Garage filled with trash. Property has rodent and insect infestation. Broken basement windows. Backyard littered with open coolers, kiddy pools, kitchen trash, etc. Codes officer should have a look.

At least we can post property locations and details of problems here, and maybe enough people will take notice. To the point where codes office and village canít ignore the problem anymore. There is. I reason to allow property to fall into such sad state of repair. The occupants and or owners should be fined, and if they donít clean up their messes and make basic repairs, then the village should take care of it AND bill them! Enough is enough.

Dolgeville should not look like Cornhill!!! We should not have to pick up our neighbors trash that blows onto our property!!! We should not have to deal with RATS because of a few lazy people who wonít clean up their acts!!!

Any where else, but this area. Fines are written and action taken to change those, cess pool houses. How is it fair to people that are stuck living next door to falling down houses? The values of the nice homes drops due to the shiĒ hole homes. Hence your home owners tax ,should automatically be DROPPED bc of this. Pathetic the village does nothing! How about they start with the old school on Main Street? I wouldnít hold my breath! R
