your right, BOTH sides are guilty of racism but more people need to open their eyes to that and stop accusing just the whites of being racist.

Spartan, you are so right. In general, I find racism deplorable and intolerable, regardless whether it comes from whites or blacks. But it seems even worse to me when people, who have experienced first hand the inhumanity and degradation of blatant racism, then practice it themselves. In Winnfield, lots of things have changed and lots has not. White racism is different nowadays, much more subtle than it used to be. Even after all these years, the most segregated place in the US and in Winn Parish is still the church. One of these days, it will change, and when it does, I believe the battle will have been won.

I have been all over the U. S. of A. I can asure you, Winnfield and Winn Parish are at the top of the list in NON-racist societies. We are fortunate to live here, those of us who do.

Our real problem ain't racism, it is jealousy and stupidity. We wish for more than what we are blessed with, then when we get it, we ain't happy.

We always think the grass is greener on the other side but believe me, I've been to the otherside and it ain't.

I believe Winn Parish is racist's town, but I also truely believe.........it's mainly the blacks that are. They are the ones with the problem.....I think the majority of the parish do try to get along. It's just that they hollar races all.....the time. I am just sick of it. Sometimes they make you want to be races when your're truely not.

Exactly full of CROOKS you wouldn't believe. It's so bad the spirit of it has gotten into the churches, pastors/preachers, etc.

Heck yea this is town is racist, and the black community is the worst of all. Everytime they don't get their way or feel wronged they start screaming something about race. Sometimes you don't get a job because you are just not qualified - it has nothing to do with what color you are. Sometimes you get beat up because you deserved an ass whoopin'- it has nothing to do with what color you are. If the whites had the White Collage Fund, NAAWP ( National Association for the Advancement of White People, White Entertainment Television, and so on you people would go nuts. Why is that?

It is definitely more of a black problem than white. Whites know the cry of "racism" surfaces anytime the blacks don't get their way. And the thing about it is they base their cry on what they said happened hundreds of years ago. None of us lived then and no adult will be alive 100 years from now. So why not just all remember the blood of all runs red! I respect any who are clean, polite, and are not freeloaders.

Well, we have established one thing. Quite a number of posters on this thread have made racist comments. While some try to protest that they are not prejudiced, I see a lot of codewords that say they are.

Spartan, you are exactly correct both sides are racist. I do have to admit before I came to this town, I thought I seen everything. Working here make me realize how real the race card is played. So, I set the example by no matter how ugly people are be nice. Do not say anything in this town that you do not want repeated, gossip turns ugly quick. Most of the time it's not even repeated 1/2 right. The only Manager in fast food that did not tolerate race as a issue was Ms Tina that was at Burger King a year ago. She didn't play games and it didn't matter the color of your skin if you deserved the right to be in the position she gave it to you. She wasn't a office Manager she was on the floor helping everyone. Anyone that knew her knows that she was a fair minded person!! I have even seen her feed a man that was hungry even know he had no money at all. Go Figure she cared!!!
