BRIAN--NO SIR I REALLY DIDN'T ENTER THIS FORUM TO HEAR ABOUT OUR SAVIOUR, BUT, I'M SO GLAD TO SAY I NEVER TIRE OF IT. YOU DON'T KNOW THIS BUT I THOUGHT THIS WAS MORE ABOUT MY NEPHEW. YA SEE, HE GOT SHOT IN THE HEAD ON FEBRUARY 16TH AND HE'S BEEN TRYING TO SURVIVE EVER SINCE. I'M SO GLAD TO FIND A PLACE THAT I CAN COME AND FEEL THE PEACE THAT WE ALL SO DESPERATELY NEED! IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE OTHER SITES ABOUT BRIAN, YOU NEED TO, THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN. THERE'S SO MUCH HATE AND PAIN THAT WON'T GO AWAY FOR SOME OF MY FAMILY AND IT REALLY IS HEARTBREAKING. THEY KNOW WHO JESUS IS, AND THEY KNOW HOW TO RID THEMSELVES OF THIS ANGER, BUT SATAN KEEPS ON TRYING TO START MORE VIOLENCE AND THEY CAN'T GET PASSED him. WILL YOU HELP PRAY FOR BOTH OF THESE FAMILIES SO THAT EACH ONE OF US THAT THIS HAS AFFECTED CAN SOMEHOW FEEL GOD'S LOVE AND MERCY AND RECEIVE THE PEACE THAT EACH OF US NEED? LET US RECOGNIZE THE UNDENYING MIRACLES THAT WE HAVE SEEN AND BE THANKFUL INSTEAD OF VENGEFUL AND LET GOD HANDLE EVERYTHING ELSE LIKE HE HAS HANDLED THE HEALING OF BRIAN THIS FAR! IF HE WAS ABLE TO DO THAT, I DO BELIEVE HE CAN TAKE CARE OF THE REST. I DON'T KNOW WHO YOU ARE, BUT I THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE AND ALTHOUGH HE IS IMPROVING BEYOND OUR WILDEST DREAMS, I KNOW BRIAN STILL NEEDS OUR PRAYERS. I will certainly keep your nephew in my prayers and the circumstances surrounding the tragedy. I am glad that my post was able to give you a moment of peace. All praise goes to Jesus from whom all blessings flow!

I feel so fortunate to have the Almighty God in my life. He freely gave me salvation and upholds me with His strength.

Isaiah 45:22-24 NIV
"Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God,and there is no other. By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear. They will say of me,'In the Lord alone are righteousness and strength.'" All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.

The Spirit put it in my heart to share verses from Matthew today. Jesus spoke these words Himself. I personally struggle to live this lesson.

Matthew 5:39 NIV
But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Matthew 5:44-46 NIV
But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?...

Smile! It is Friday and we have the strength of the name Jesus Christ. I hope you all enjoy God's blessings this weekend. Seek Him with all your heart.

At this time of year, our minds turn towards the great sacrifice Jesus made for us and His resurrection.

We have a mission given to us by Jesus,after the resurrection, in the last words of Matthew. There are no small roles in this mission as long as you are working for the Lord. He will always be with you on that path.

Matthew 28:17-20
When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."

Is greed eating away at your insides? Don't let greed steal your joy. Find happiness in your daily blessings.

Deuteronomy 24:19-21 NIV
When you are harvesting your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands. Normally at Christmas time we put a lot of emphasis on good will and kindness towards one another. Let's take a moment to think about it at Easter as well.

Ephesians 4:29-32 NIV

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. The Bible sure has a lot to say about love and kindness, so let's keep it in our hearts and minds while we focus this week on the Cross and our great Savior, Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:9-13 NIV
Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

TGIGF! Thank God it's GOOD FRIDAY! This is the day we celebrate the love our Savior showed us when He gave himself as a sacrifice. But we don't mourn the loss because our Savior is RISEN! Have a great and blessed Easter weekend!

I just wanted to share one of the more familiar Bible verses on love in honor of the love of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Many times when we attend a funeral we hear the 23rd Psalm. It is a comforting Psalm for those loved ones in pain. Maybe it can be a daily comfort for every day life as well. So here it is.

Psalm 23 NIV

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Thanks again today for a good verse. You have very good timing. My Dad is 71 years old and this past Saturday, his best friend since childhood shot and killed himself. He had been very ill for a long time but no one expected this.
I ask that you pray for my Dad and the family and friends of his friend during this tough time.

Let's stick with the Psalms. Psalm 100 is for givng thanks. I think the words are quite familiar. Many of the lines have made it into hymns. This Psalm is such a powerful blessing for my heart!

Psalm 100 NIV:

Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
