I arrived as the first 2 police made it to the scene. I was there! It was senseless..I saw before the bodies were covered. I saw the blood an guts as the bodies were rolled over! It was something I will never forget..I saw the 2 that were loaded in ambulances an driving about a 1/10 of a mile to the hosp. I saw the exit wound Bigger than a softball. Bullet casings all around..A man who lives next door to the scene said the argument started up the road on the corner..I saw the lady screaming at her dead husband not to die on her an leave her this way as he lie dead in the parking lot of wood's tv..The scene was very gruesome an uncalled for no matter the race we are all still human! I was told they could not be airlifted because of the weather? If we had been 5 minutes earlier going to our destination we may have been caught up in the crossfire..The way some thugs carry out things now is outta control..Whatever happened to just a fight to work out some differences ? But now since many are plain cowards, someone has to loose a brother, dad, husband, when they could have just brawled instead of shooting an everybody would have gone home..I also saw about 15 Sheriffs have their guns pulled as 4 or 5 young Mexican guys walked up after the shooting..I also saw the sadness of families who lost loved ones, I cannot describe the pain I saw..I Pray That the family Has GOD'S help in this time of need..And I hope that the ones lost were right in their spiritual walk with GOD. Every soul is important to God! My condolences to the families.

I have worked in this area for 7 years now at a near by business. There has been "drama" going on there for years. Drug deals etc, the Mount Airy police and County police knew what kind of people live there, and what they are and were capable of doing. I just feel bad that it had to end up like this. Those people and others in that area work the streets ALL day long selling drugs etc. I think it is about time to get it under control and get off 52 giving speeding tickets.

These things arent just happening in Mt Airy it is a statewide problem....wat will it take for the governor or SOMEONE to step up and do something about all this nonsense? This is getting ridiculous and my question is how many lives is enough before you start doing something about it??? Its sad you cant walk outside for fear of wat you might see or hear....what kind of world are we bringing our children up to be in......

Angry American...you can hate all you want...but not all hispanics are bad. I lived 2 minutes from the scene, i saw these men before. One of them was one of the nicest people you could meet. He always said hello or waved whenever i drove by...and now he's gone and i will never again get to see his smiling face when i go out...its very sad...my heart goes out to the families of the victims!

First off, you people neeed to get an education and learn to spell. The act was uncalled for period. The Mt Airy Police do patrol the side streets just like they are supposed to everyday and night. They can't be everywhere all the time and you have to have facts to arrest some one. Not by the color of their skin. Crime is crime people. There is good and bad in all races. And as for the speeding tickets on Hwy 52, if people didn''t speed and cause deaths at the intersections then they wouldn't have to be there. So slow down. I praise The MtAiry Police deptartment, they do an excellent job and they will catch the wanted person if the coward didnt run to Mexico or some other boarder. For the man who saw all this before or after, I pray too you will let go of what you saw and god will help you if you trust in him. I pray for the families involved. Im sure the men who passed away left behind loving family members that will miss them dearly. God be with them..!!

As far as the "bad" locations is concerned, the police cannot spend any more amount of time in one location, if so is call profiling. Black, White, Brown, Tan or Purple, doesnt matter.. Hwy 52, I can guarantee you, has the same problem "locations.." Its just done with vehicles,(Speeding, Careless and Reckless Driving) instead of drugs and shootings.. Sorry for Everyones loss..

I'll sum it up in a few words for some of the bashing I see here.. I saw the dead bodies at the scene!!THEY WERE HUMAN!! At least have respect for the loss of life!! I see HUMAN, NOT RACE! I saw the blood and guts and brains on the black asphalt! I saw The wife begging her husband not to die! Anyone can be a keyboard camando..There is alot more wrong with this country than sittin an bickering about race..We have enough Al Sharptons an Jesse Jacksons who rode the coat tails of MLK .My opinion we stole this country from the Indians for a few beads or whatever, so if any of us have a right to be ANGRY it would be them! I am sure there are a lot of Hispanic people fighting American wars over seas, shall we send them home too? The issue at hand is 4 HUMANS LOST THEIR LIFE BY AN ACT OF A COWARD.. THIS HAS NO DOUBT LEFT A CHILD WITHOUT A FATHER, A WIFE WITHOUT A HUSBAND, A MOM WITHOUT A CHILD. this is just an example of the mexican drug war moving in to the u.s. it's horrendously violent in mexico right now, as 3-5 different cartels are fighting for control as the corrupt govt is trying to clean up its act and is putting extreme pressure on these organizations. they have been better behaved here, as our police or not as corrupt & they fear prosecution. i'm not being racist-just stating facts. the majority of the hispanics here just want a better life & future for their children. the drug war, though, is very serious. every joint you smoke or line you snoot is linked to torture, beheadings, etc.

All this does is remind me to call both canidates for Mayor and ask that if elected tuesday, that they enact a ban on all guns within the city limits. No one ever needs a gun unless they are going to kill someone. If they do not comeout and publicly state this as a goal I will not vote for them tuesday. I doubt many of my friends or family will. Afterall, look how many shootings we have had this year alone. Mount Airy Mayor Canidates, BAN ALL GUNS NOW!!!! If you dont we will vote you out and vote in someone that will!
