the board members have way too much power when dealing with students...their input outweighs the teachers' input and it should not be that way.

I am really disappointed with this school. My child have been going to Clay all these years and all at once they want me to move her to Providence. Don't think so... I will home school before I do that.

In the long run it will be better to accept the change now and help our children accept it.

If the kids hear us being negative, they will be negative too. They take some of our attitudes.

The negative may be doing them harm. They will worry about things.

Most kids are resilient. We mometimes we worry about them, because we do not hav econfidence in their skills and abilities to adjust.

The kids need us to be positive. We need to find the positive in things.

There are good teachers, students, and people in all communities. We worry about what we do not know.

Change is a part of life.

We can home school kids but in the end we would probably be cheating them. If we teach them at home will they be ready for high school? School is a lot harder and as a parent it is hard to teach your child sometimes.

I do not have money to pay tutors. I do not have money
to send kids to private school.

Very well said!! Kids response to change is normally 85% influenced by their parents so it is up to us to be positive for them whether we want to or not. I think some of what is happening should have happened a few years ago so having young children now, I am glad to see it finally happening.
