Its amazing that, from what I hear from my friends that live in Oak Forest, New Lenox, Tinley Park, Alsip, Hickory Hills, those streets are horrible. Yet you say all over are great except BI. THEY ARE SHITTY ALL OVER. But lets keep bashing BI all day everyday.
If you are happy with what they have done so far that's fine....I'm not!! By now they should have gone through the neighborhoods and cleared the streets curb to curb. It's not that difficult to keep going straight and clearing side streets. They don't have a plan. This should be a work in progress everyday. Hell, until the sun came out western ave was not down to the pavement. That's unacceptable.

Will Airline Towing be re doing the walks & Streets after this storm?
Will they buy our poor community rock salt for our roads, since we have had none for the last three weeks?
At least the Mayor is calling in disabled cars in the roadway over the police radio, great job. Issue the mayor a call number please..(over)

Keeping Streets Clear in the neighborhoods is a priority because it is an election year and politicians know elections are lost and won over snow removal issues.

It's midnight and I just took the dog for a walk. Division, Union and Hoyne are snow routes and are not yet plowed. I guess I will have to get up at 4 am to make sure my neighbor gets to dialysis. I doubt the city cares about anyody's health.

for l

This has been the worst year for snow removal, taxes are not reasonable and we should expect safe roads for what we pay. It is bad enough that the road conditions with bad pot holes down by Eisenhower are deplorable, but for God's sake at least clear the snow off those streets before our kids start school in the morning. There have been many school days, after snow, that they are not even being touched except for what the schools are able to handle on their own. The holiday is over, it is 1:30am with time to get the crews out there and clear the snow routes and school zones. Keep it safe for our kids and emergency vehicles!

It's nice to hear you care for your neighbor to get up so early to help. We need more of that around town.

Hopefully Public Works will try clearing the sewers on the corners so with the rain tomorrow we won't have devastating floods

Even I can't expect or wait for someone from the City to clear all the sewers. Therefore, I took the 5 minutes yesterday to clear the snow from the sewer by our house. I noticed someone down the block with the same idea.

Does Blue Islanf have a Public Works department?
It's Sunday afternoon. Just took the dog for a walk. The snow routes on Hoyne, Union and Division have not been plowed or salted. The streets are passable but far from good. Under previous administrations the snow routed were plowed curb to curb in a reasonable time.
It almost looks like they are intentionally trying to angry the residents. They are doing a very good job

Stevo, you are a great Community Activist. You have she'd light on many wrongs in town. We all hope that you will continue to expose lies and corruption in town. The fact is though, that the voters want someone else for Mayor. After bring lied to by Vargas and Hawley they are ready to pay attention. There is going to be a very strong candidate running for Mayor in the next B. I. election. We hope that you will endorse him and support his quest for real change!
