You are a Domingo lover. They keep blaming Bush.. I mean Peloquin for everything. NO accountability. Nice try though, trying to divert attention from the real issues. Everyone in BI needs to spread the word about Topix! Tell your neighbors, friends and family that we have a voice and that the incompetents are listening! Did you bundle up real good on Saturday Mayor?

Mr. Hawley if you are interested in saving the city money you should suggest for all of the aldermen to give up their salary an expense account. It would save the city $84,000 a year.

At the very least, the ones that don't show up to council meetings should forfeit their salaries. No one should get a paid unless they are present, paying attention, proactive and productive, not focusing on their phones or absent for the majority of the meetings.

You must read in between their lines!. These two were very great, very strong supporters of the Peloquin-Frasor years in office, and were great supporters getting the Bob Rita candidates elected this past April election. What I heard was great disappointment, when they found out, they have been lied to, by all their candidates, past and present. They should have not believed, but found out what persons would serve them honestly, and transparently. So what is their complaint? They should just blame themselves, for being hoodwinked by their choices they made!. Now the residents will have four years of the Rita treatment shoved down their throats, if they like it or not!.
So basically, you are encouraging people not to voice their concerns because then you will deem them aligned with a certain political party. I mean it's crazy to think that one is concerned about our Senior Citizens being shorted services and the other bringing attention to unqualified personnel in Leadership positions is wrong. It is because of comments like yours that people are afraid to speak up to the thugs. Now go away!

If he supported this, he would have to forfeit his own salary, thus making it a VOLUNTEER position. He's all for volunteering!

It works like this; his volunteerism is an extension of his duties as an alderman. All volunteering up to his election was part of " the plan." Now, as an alderman he is expected to attend events and volunteer at local functions. Strip away the stipend/salary and the power to steal peoples well earned positions and their city services and we'll see if he stays.

They will NEVER forfeit their own salaries. Instead they continue to forfeit the salaries of good, honest, hardworking city employees.

You are entitled to your opinions at the Council meeting, although they exceeded 3 minutes and were not interrupted by Domingo; yet, you are way off base preaching to us about why employees were let go. You have no idea how inexperienced personnel impacts a town. Otherwise, you would have been trying to let the City Manager, John Rita know what dangerous decisions that he is making. Interesting how the sound in the council mtg video worked just fine for your discourse, but not that of the other residents. Look BI, these people are trying to play you and get you emotionally charged about the debt. Yet they absolve certain debt in the name of moving forward. They will even use their own family members to sway your opinions. Good job to all the citizens who questioned their motives. Al Stevo... who knew that you would be the local hero!

Since the local paper is not printing the citizens concerns from the Council Meetings and the videotapes sound is altered during significant discourse, is anyone willing to attend the council meetings and either tape or transcript them for Topix? We all need to have access to the truth! Be an activist for positive change. Make a difference! Tell everyone in town about Topix! Don't let these guys get away with deceit!

Get city employees to gather:
signatures,
support,
and votes.

You have served your purpose and as a city employee you have been paid for your service.
You may tricked but this is the wonderful world of politics.

It may be politics, but we have a voice and we will use it to let them know how disgusted weare with them. If you are willing to trick your own employees then you will trick the residents. Not a very profound point that you have made.

Maybe, she can ask her husband why he has supported outside contracted companies that are more expensive than the previous administrations contracts. I mean we are all about cutting costs! They are full of crap. Trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

If by local paper you mean the Forum, then I take issue with your statement. The Forum comes out once a month and always includes lengthy Council reports. The current issue has the November meetings, including the comments of residents. Due to space considerations the December meeting is recalled and details will be in the January issue. If you actually READ the Forum you would know this.
