As there appears to be nothing but smack talk going around as usual I thought that I would post an honest review. As a 14 Midlothian resident I have been going to Hog Wild since it was just that side room. My family even had a group photo on the wall before the renovations. I love Hog Wilds food although I do honestly miss the more small time feel the restaurant had before the expansion. Which is one of the main reasons why I like Hog Steer. I am all for Midlo having 2 good BBQ places. I really enjoy Hog Wild but sometimes I do not want to wait in line around dinner time and feel rushed. I have gone to Hog Steer 4 times now and I have not been disappointed. The staff is nice, and the food is good. I also like the fact that corn bread comes with every meal. I will continue going to both restaurants in the future, and I wish Steer Hogs the best. Midlo is big enough for 2 bbq places.

He smokes overnight. You can smell it where I live.It's not a heavt smoke so to speak, it's a slow smoke.

Does Steerhog's accept credit cards? I love Hog Wild but always need to go to the ATM first to get cash. Can't believe they don't take credit cards.

Actually I have eaten at his restaurant and it is some of the best Mexican food you can find. If you have ever listened to him, or talked to him, you would have found that he moved to Mexico and lived there for several years. It is not about being close minded, it is about quality food. Anybody can cook, some cook really well, but heritage is heritage, and you can't beat it.

Purchased a rib dinner order to go at Hog Wild and ribs were on top of the oven browns, garlic bread was on top of the ribs and it was all placed in ONE BIG STYRAFOAM CONTAINER - when I lifted the container out of the plastic bag, the STYRAFOAM gave away and split at the side and whole dinner fell into the plastic bag. BIG MESS, and I wrote letter to Hog Wild and did not even get a reply. Baked potatoes are no longer served, another disappointment!

We have been there say 4 or 5 times. No complaints here have tried a few rib variety's and also enjoyed the rib tips. Will be back again. Do wish they had baked potato's though.

Just tried Steer Hogs for the first time tonight....and just let me say I wish I hadn't! This was the WORST food I have eaten in a long time. It is so greasy and just plain nasty! Hog Wild has NOTHING to worry about, this place will not be around long! Save your money and skip Steer Hogs.
