Who voted for this clown? I certainly didn't! I've lived here for 45 years and it is such a shame what this city has become.

Amazing how the sound on the Council mtg video never went out during Berry's silly presentation. Yet, all of the citizens addressing the mayor were not heard due to poor audio quality. Also, Mayor don't talk to us in an authoritative tone. We don't respect you, so tone it down and hang your head in shame while addressing us.
This is done by design. The High School students did a better job of it. The Mayor has much to be ashamed p.

A recent article in the Blue Island Forum Newspaper(below) attempts to sugar coat the Kadner article on the city financial mess. The city already has a risk manager, this has been Terry Sllivan.Who has not been able to stop the lawsuits against the city. It is a real head in the sand approach.

Next: having a new “in charge” person liaison with firefighters/police and
pardon the expression “police,” some
situations which maybe would no longer result in law suits could be a real savings. Can we see how this works out?

What is the Forum article referring to that, the city workers medical is provided by the city as "self insured"? They have a medical plan! Sounds like the writer is confused!

Hiring Mesirow Financial to procure new health insurance coverage for municipal employees through Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Illinois. Mesirow employs Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan’s son Andrew Madigan, who worked with Blue Island officials on the no-bid deal. Approved Aug. 29, it will cost the city $2.3 million a year. Robert Rita, a politcal ally of the House speaker, says he vouched for Mesirow to city officials. The firm’s commission was $39,000, according to City Clerk Randy Heuser.

Conflict of Interest, in addition to no bid contract.

This might explain why complaints to Lisa Madigan's office about Blue island misconduct go unanswered. It would require investigating her own family's connections to B.I and Bobby Rita. And what ever happened to the investigation in Evergreen Park a few years ago? You know? when Rita was accused of kicking in his ex-girlfriend's door and beating her? It made the news but quickly went away? Who is looking out for the citizens and employees of B.I ? certainly not the management.
