I registered my kids for this organization at early bird registration in November. The board decided in January that there would only be one fundraiser that ended in May. No formal announcement was made notifying us of this change. The only option now is to do a buyout of the fundraiser. $80 for the first kid, and $40 for each additional kid.

Lots of organizations do that. It happens every year. This way they get prepared for the activity to start.

I understand that. Every other year the fundraiser was in the fall. Now in January they changed it without properly notifying the parents.

Is that the organization that is run by the three clowns that were thrown out of the Alsip Falons organization for all sorts of improper things?

Would their names be Robinson, Hale, Novak, possibly Linskog????????

you can bury shit, but it finds it's way back to the surface.

They have us do the fundraiser early because some not all the parents say the economy is rough well here is enough time now to sell them before opening day. Now don't like what they are doing two things u can do 1 get your ass to the meeting and bring your ideas and concerns up. 2 become a board member and help fix any problems. Bet no one will do any of these and just keep bitching on here

become a board member what a joke they only get their in crowd on the board, as far as giving ideas they listen and do laugh at you behind your back when you leave and do what they want. Oh as ask them where the money is going ask for bank statements and copies of the check book. that is your right

oh no - that is one of the reasons why i am not a board member anymore - I would take both sides into consideration and often sided with the parents views on many ocassions. I would also purchase things for the kids that could not afford things out of my own pocket.

worst experience i ever had with my kids playing sports was when my son played for MidCrest. never, ever again. they are one of the most disorganized programs around. when i see them at walmart selling candy or collecting money at intersections i look the other way. no way could i ever support an organization like that. the people in charge were mostly unresponsive and curt when they did respond. i was treated like a little kid when working concessions and told i was not allowed to make change for customers. the "team mom" was so disorganized as were the coaches. what a joke.

@expanther I am glad to see your an expanther. Just because things didn't go your way you turn your nose up at all the kids who are doing well. My son played for the Panthers and was undefeated. He had to best years of football playing for the Coaches there. They instill respect and so many other values. I taught my kids manners and they are very respectful to everyone but the way the coaches handle these kids without having to really raise their voices is amazing. To this day my son will do anything for his 8th grade coaches there. Maybe they treated you like a little kid because you acted like a little kid. (go figure) I dont know what level your kids attempted to play on but I never had a problem with the team mom being unorganized. We have great trips, homecoming days and a lot more. As for the coaches, Very organized. You keep track of 25 kids at away games that parent don't attend. Im sure you could do so much better lol. I sure hope your kids don't end up visiting the Varsity coach where he works but more than likely they will and god help them. GO PANTHERS

agreed. If you parents don't like what's going on get off your ass and help volunteer. Don't sit back and say they are doing this and not this be the solution not the pucking problem

Your right about disorganization! Ill give you that. If you register early you can do the fundraiser. Been a parent in this league since before they merged and it is a shame how things have ended up. Low amount of kids on all teams but worse too much missed practice. Where is the parent participation? Not much there at all. Same people over and over. Coaching staff has gone to the birds at some levels but it is volunteer work and they are not babysitters.

most of the parents on here complaining have probably done nothing for the organization. what you don't realize is its all volunteer work. these board members and coaches do this out of their own time. almost all of the coaches are full time workers who come home change clothes and head to the field to do work. its all about love for the kids and the games. if you think something is wrong get up go to every board meeting demand to see where the money is going get the papers they hand out you get up and volunteer its not easy an they are doing the best they can majority of them have families too and nobody is getting paid!

Just like with Midlothian. Baseball most of these board members do it so their kids , friends kids get to play .GEEZ Midlothian baseball used to be a great organization until about ten years ago when the meatheads took over , now they can hardly make a team ....

I can quess the parents you are you sign your kid up drop them off at practice and leave cause you think it's a baby sitting service pick him/her up late, then game days you sit in the stand knit picking everything and talk about how much it cost when in reality if you sell everything fundraising your kid prob could play for free
