crazy, crazy, crazy......channel 7 and IDOT both said that the previous administration did NOTHING!!!, Bob Rita is working on bringing money, where even IDOT confirmed that they have offered help in the past and Peloquin refused!!! Channel 7 did nothing but help Rita/Vargas
Bunch of crazies listening to their voices in their heads on here.
Bob Rita has found a mayor who will hire his brother and sell out his own town in exchange for bridge money. Peloquin, to his credit, would not agree to Bobby's concessions.

Really? Have you ever seen any of this so called "bridge money" do you know "where this bridge money" is?

Peloquin spent every penny he could find. His Mayor Pro Tem Vargas is maintaining the Coalition Rita Party tradition by doing the same.

You are 100% right on target. You are brilliant. More and More Concerned Citizens are agreeing with your assessment. Thank You for sharing your wisdom with us. It is so so sad that a Law Scholar, who was given an award by no other than Cook County States Attorney Anita Alvarez would show such disrespect malice for the citizens of Blue Island.

No, I haven't seen the bridge money. But Mayor Vargas told Chuck Goudie and the entire listening audience that he has secured the money from Mr. Rita. Mayor Vargas would never tell a lie........would he?

At this point, not sure our State Attorney Alvarez is so pure either. Time to get out of IL if you can...everyone in this new Blue Island party is part of this deal making at the expense of the citizens. It's not just Mayor Vargas. It's every councillor in that party- from the City Clerk, mayor pro temp, on down. They all know what they are doing. They vote the way they're told to vote, agree with the firings and the hirings, unless they want to lose their ward seat and be ostracized in town. sorry, no new year's eve party for you, so there!

You are right. What we need are some real Alderman, who actually care about Blue Island and our People. And do not care if they are ostracized. Take the high road.
A real improvement

Mike Madigan the Speaker is not taking the Alderman Vierya threat seriously. He might be fooled, just like he was fooled with his loss in Toni Berrios.
The 28th district and State of Illinois is in need for a real change. Alderman Vierya can help bring this change. She will be a great spokesman for the city. I am sure she will search for monies to open the bridges. We need her in Springfield.

It is hard to describe how really challenging daily life is in Blue Island for all of the forgotten people who live here with elected officials who do not tell the truth and could care less.

As we have learned career politicians spend much of their time campaigning, looking for campaign donations, very little time working for the public, tell the public what they think they want to hear, spend much time trying to cover their own tracks, stuffing their own pockets, use politically correct catch phrases to stay in office, getting jobs for family and supporters.
Where's the grant money from Rita and how was it actually spent? Did the grant money go to a no bid contract? Was the work completed according to any practical specifications or ordinance?
Term limits are needed and necessary.

Beginning with Alderwoman Carr. Has done nothing for her ward, and blatantly brags about her close association with the Rita's.
