Fights West Nile? How? Did he invent a new fogger? Did he find the cure in a lab in his garage? He passed out yellow sticky notes. BIG DEAL! Please stay away from this guy. He is delusional. Did he walk with Dr. King too? Did he fight in Vietnam or Desert Storm or Lebanon or Desert Sward or in Afghanistan? NO! He passd out YELLOW STICKY NOTES!!!! He couldn't beat up a girl scout. Fight??? AYFKM?

West Nile virus (WNV) is transmitted to people, birds and other animals by the bite of an infected mosquito. This virus can cause serious illness in people of any age, but especially in people over the age of 50 or those with other underlying medical conditions. You can protect yourself by avoiding mosquito bites. Taking the following precautions can help you "Fight the Bite."

1. Wear repellent containing DEET, Picaridin or Oil of Lemon Eucalyptus (all EPA-approved repellents) according to the label.
2. Remove standing water around your home - this is where mosquitoes like to breed, and
3. Cover up your skin with clothing between dusk and dawn, when mosquitoes are most active.

Locally-acquired mosquito-borne human infections were first recorded in Idaho in 2004. In 2006, Idaho led the nation in reports of human illness associated with WNV with 996 cases being reported to the state health department.

Please Mr. Moody, check the standing water situations if you are that concerned. You will find some green stagnant swimming pools, old tires, and unattended bird baths in the ridge. Is there a village fine for keeping these breeding grounds for mosquitos? We could use some mosquito police and someone to clean up the yellow sticky note litter around town.

At least he walks around town talking with the residents and getting a message out, even if its on sticky notes. Believe it or not alot of people are ignorant and dont care to remove standing water or simply ever thought about it. I guarantee youll never see Chuck walking around town getting a message out.......at least until the next election

Bobby Kennedy once said that "0ne-Fifth of the people are against everything all the time." Is a mayor supposed to walk around with sticky notes? Mayors have other resources, like board meetings to get their messages out. Be against the mayor if you wish. Don't compare a precinct captain to a Mayor.

Ed Moody never stops. He works and works and works. I have never met anyone who wants to nurture, protect, and help people the way he does. The more creepy jealous tugs attack him the harder he works. Thanks Ed for doing things that help our community. God bless

There is a huge difference between working hard and working smart....and you have to actually be smart in order to work smart. That counts your hero out. He isn't working at all. He is trying to play the village and the township voters. He wants power. Nobody works for free. Didn't PT Barnum say there was a sucker born every minute. Some people will fall for anything.

Ed Moody is doing some great things as Highway Commissioner.

He rejected pay raises.
He rejected a pension.
He refused to take the Cadillac Health Insurance.
He sign an executive order to end nepotism in his office.
He signed an executive order to prevent his employees from being pressured to make political donations to his campaign.
He does not accept contributions from vendors doing business with his office.
He will rebate 15% back to the tax payers.

15% of what? On my tax bill worth township gets $44. That means I would get $6.60 rebate.

Thank goodness for the cold weather that Ed Mooody has brought us. Now he can rest because his battle against the West Nile virus is over until next summer. And since there have not been any reported cases of West Nile in the Ridge this year, Ed is undefeated. Great job Ed. Enjoy all the compliments for now.

Mr. Moody, the West Nile Virus is upon us folks in the southern Cook County area. When are you going to start your campaign against these pests? A suggestion would be to start with your neighbors who don't keep up with the over growth of weeds, trees, and unmaintained bird baths in their yards. Some residents have let their pools go with the bad weather and non-use, when are uncovered green swimming pools allowed?

Really? 40 cases out of 12 million Illinois residents. Is this our biggest problem? How many kids drown in swimming pools each year or die in car accidents because parents dont put them in car seats or how many DUIs (in CR alone)? Save us!

Did he fix any highways? Who cares if he doesn't drive a Cadillac?

1. HE DOES NOT GET A VOTE! So, he deserves NO credit for what the VOTING BOARD MEMBERS passed or are working on passing. He has just as much authority on getting things passed, removed, decreased, etc. as the rest of us Joe taxpayers. ZERO
2. As highway commissioner, he purchased a $40,000 big red full-size truck right after the election with his name plastered all over
it. For what? Guess he needed to see
His name somewhere since all the signs had to come down. Does he really need his own, that expensive, and that big of a vehicle to "monitor" the minimal streets he's "in charge of?" One would think there are those already on the payroll who do so and report to him if/when necessary. And if he's so concientious of saving the taxpayers money, why not use his own car? Certainly he could tap into that $30,000 a year salary for gas money.
3. While he may have "refused" any insurance coverage or pension $, HE IS NOT REFUSING THAT THAT $ be diverted to his paycheck ON TOP of his salary, so, no it is not going back to the taxpayers. It's going directly into his pocket.

And so much more, I'm sure

Don't be fooled by this Madigoon and his BS
