I'm talking about future development. With the Bozo government good luck having a Best Buy come to town. Brookside Place on 191st and Harlem, LaGrange Road in Orland has very few vacancies and when they do happen they are filled pretty darn quickly. Seems the towns to our west have no trouble attracting business. Professional government is key. When we have a bunch of clowns running the town its no wonder that we are a laughing stock.
Just for your info Best buy is closing stores
The old Walgreens was closed just as Terry was taking office - he did a great job of getting that store filled
Terry did more to drive business out than get them in - where is Pete's Fresh Produce remember Terry said it was a done deal and it was coming to Midlo
Last spring some company was going to break grond on 147th and Cicero - he couldn't tell us who
Terry, Tom, Mo, Wilkins, and the rest of that crew wrecked this town their family and friends were taken care of

From what I can gather, this rumor about Zamier is just that, a rumor.

Only a little Turd like you would be happy about police quitting, you never have a good thing to say about the force, you were always bashing the ex-chief and you still do. Have you ever had the balls to say it to thier face?

Well actually yes I have said something to their faces. If you really did "know it all" you would have seen in previous posts from a couple years ago that I've always supported the PD and FD. So, YOU DON'T know it all but when a Uniformed Officer who was at the Honor Flight Benefit a couple of years ago tells me a TAXPAYER that he HATES this Town, being a COP in this Town and HATES everything about this HELLHOLE, BUT, takes our tax dollars then is named Deputy Chief, That I have a problem with. When a so called Chief is at a Drug takeback and a few kids want to see the Jail cells and he says to another Officer, "Show them the damn cells so they shut up" That I have a problem with. If you have a hardon with your job, LEAVE and quit taking our Tax $$$

They sure did make sure their friends were taken care. Apparently they also retire with full health benefits. That just doesn't happen every day.
How do they qualify for health benefits?- they are part time employees

Who is part time? When the village employees retire they get FULL paid health care benefits. That's almost unheard of in this day and age.

if you read the post you would have understood that it meant the defeated such as MO and Terry

And why should the village residents have to pay for retirement insurance for any retired employees -

At 12:00 noon on Sunday April 21,2013 a Village Public Works Truck No. 8 was parked in Hickeys lot There was no employee anywhere to be found - except attending St. Chris where Father Mark was celebrating his 25th anniversary mass

Getting paid double time for attending mass

I did read it. I was pretty sure we were misunderstanding each other. You are correct, the elected officials don't get any insurance or retirement benefits. It was the full time employees that I was talking about.

Probably not getting paid but putting the wear and tear on village vehicles instead of their own. Also, they use village gas for that. HUGE perk!! Needs to stop!

<quoted text>In order for a Big Box to be on 147th and Cicero, it would take a deeper Frontage due to truck traffice making deliveries. Trust me on that one since I do studies on where the best locations are. Part of my job for well over 40 years.Com paring empty fronts, I was on LaGrange on Easter Sunday, very little traffic, that made me notice them more. Our empties should be less expensive than Orlands. Just may be getting too expensive to open in Orland. Who knows?
You seem to know more then me on this one. If a grocery store is unobtainable..what would you figure for that spot?

A Grocery store would be fine at that spot if some of the dead asses would have tried getting one because a Grocery Store isn't as deep so to speak as a Big Box. When a lot of people say Big Box, they think of Best Buy(which are closing stores)Target, just to name two. A Grocery store would maybe have to take up a lot and a half. Ideally and IF and that's a big IF,whoever was to try and get something for that corner, could look into like a Red Lobster or a couple of different Restaurants or better yet, something that is open 24 hours since Cicero is a main drag for Semi's going between 294 and 57 for now until the new Interchange opens. Then it could still be profitable I think after that. But, who am I other thansomeone trying to look at a way to help build our town back up and not a high priced flunkie administrator or whatever he calls himself.

I just don't see a grocery store ever going there. 2 bigs in OF and one in C-wood, 2 smaller in Midlo already. I figured that Pete's was always a pipe dream because C-wood already had a building in place set up and ready to go. Obviously if ee had a building there already in decent shape we would be better off then we are right now.

Yeah, it beats the hell out of me as to what could go there. A grocery store would be nice because Sentry is a pit. Never did like that store and I remember it from being a Soybean Field and Mottos building back in 1966.A Car dealer of any type we can forget about so, that just leaves like a Strip Mall or Restaurant row. I meant to say also about when Costco built out in Orland, they spent over 10 Million to widen the streets, move power lines and put in traffic lights. The towns leave it up to the business' to absorb that cost. So, it's not that a business can slap up 4 walls and hang a shingle that says open. A lot more goes into it.
