The Judiciary Committee will be meeting on this Tuesday, March 6th at 6pm at the council chambers to discuss the raising the fees of our vehicle stickers. Don Peloquin has said the fee increase will be use to pay for the re-opening of the Chatham and Division St. bridges but when tax payers showed up at the Municipal Services Committee meeting last week wanting answers, the mayor and the committee refused to discuss it.
The measure was up for a vote at last week's council meeting but Mike Janko sent it back to committee because there was nothing in the new ordinance that said the money would be used for the bridges. Whats going on here? The taxpayers have a right to know what Don Peloquin is doing with their money. Be at the March 6th 6pm meeting at the council chambers and insist on honest answers from our elected leaders! |

Multiply 5.00 times the number of registered vehicles in this town. It does not come close to the cost of repairs to re-open one of the two bridges. The money will be slipped into the congress campaign. |

The population is around 25,000. If every resident owned a car, which I shouldn't have to point out as impossible but will, that 25,000 x 5. Sum= 125,000. One bridge= 12,000,000. 12,000,000 is greater than 125,000. Just saying. |

Made In The U.S.A. With Mexican Parts That's what's so great about this country. You have the right to voice your opinion as ignorant as it may be. Speak what ever language you desire. Better to try to speak or wright it then not to try at all! Viva B.I. and all the Mexicans in it! We are the majority, wether you like it or not! |

You use the correct operative, try. The word is spelled write as in written, as in I wrote a letter. Not "I wright with my right hand." I won't even mention the word wether. WTF is that? Even beaners can get spell check. You jackass imbecile. Go back across the river where you belong. Oh wait, you are the majority in BI. Ok then, where's MY free stuff from you? At least give me a percentage of your income. That's fair, right? I'm going to have to start crapping out babies fast!

Domingo Vargas, the head of the Juduciary Committee is fluent in both Englsih and Spanish so no matter what language you speak, be at the meeting tomorrow night to get straight answers about what the city is doing with the taxpayers money.

We will NEVER get straight answers from Vargas on any subject. A defense attorney obfuscates what he is talking about. We are wise to his filthy tactics. He will defend the powers that be, and to hell with the taxpayers. HE lives his faith. |

I find your accusations not only heinous but filled with libel & slander. It also borders on the edge of vengeful. >Is your monthly visitor making itself known or has Menopause taken hold of the right side of the brain. It sure seems like it<......Sounds insulting doesn't it? How does it feel to have naked filth thrown in your face? Not nice is it? Temper your emotions & speak with calmness, clarity & coherence next time. |

The Judiciary Committee voted for the increase and it will be on the agenda for a vote at the 3/13th council meeting. Citizens who attended the meeting urged the committee not to double the sticker fees for senior citizens but to look for an equitable way to finance the bridge inspections but the commmittee refused. |

That's an interesting question. The council members who attended the meeeting and voted were: Mike Janko, Domingo Vargas, Cathie Spizzirri, Jerry Natalino and Nancy Rita. The list I got from the city website in 2011 states that Vargas,(chair) Spizzirri, Janko and Cheatle are actually on the board. I would say that it appears that our mayor moves council members and committees as he sees fit. This is a beautiful example where council members choose to serve their Dark Lord (our mayor) rather than standing up for their rights as council members and doing the best for the voters. |
