has anyone noticed that when streets in village are torn up
they fill the hole with gravel and do not resurface or blacktop the job

If there is a hole they just put horses and yellow tape around it

On 149th between Knox and Cicero the street is caving in around a sewer and then again as you drive over the creek

Last year Abbotsford was resurfaced from 147th north past the Metra station - oops I forgot there is where Terry lives he took care of himself - as the front end of my car takes a beating from all the sinking and gravel roads in the village

Have you noticed the gaping holes from where the street wasn't repaired properly by the last company who did our streets I think it was Alpha shouldn't they have to fix this mess.

pnt_man there was a grant for the water mains on abbbotsford as I understand it, due to their proximity to the metra. That's what I was told at the time.

True there was big problems with the water mains on both Abbottsford and Waverly. A major portion of this repair was covered by a grant. True this was done by the former mayors. This was costing a lot for repairs fairly often it was in bad shape. And being it tore up the street re-paving was done.

As far as our streets are concerned they are in bad shape to be sure. I know there is a very limited budget for what gets done. I see they are doing a block on 144th near Kenton that was real bad. A shame the next block to west is pretty sad also.

There are times when I drive thru town when I miss my Jeep. It was quite good at off roading.

The block to the West is graded down and waiting to be resurfaces as we speak.
