This post has been generated to hear some concerns about our NEW police dept.
#1 Why are there "no turn on red_ signs in this town?
Three vehicles ran the rt turn at 127 and Vincennes, while ofcr. Bob Miller sat at the light facing them He did nothing.7/25/13 1pm
#2 Get rid of the right turn lanes at 123 and Western as people continue to drive straight thru while police sit in the car wash.
#3 We are told to call police to report crime and violations only to have police tell the other party who called to complain.Whether it's a barking dog, loose running dog that shits on your lawn with no tags.
#4 why can't they at least hide when they bullshit with each other on one of many free coffee breaks? Need a cop try the bank lot or Beggars lot no crime there.
I believe a few layoffs would do the city some good.

Hey dumb ass the officer might have been on a call unlike tv they do not go lights and sirens. There s' more to the job then writing bullshit tickets. If people would take a minute and treat others as they would like to be treated the police might be able to spend time on theses problems you have. No doubt you are the best driver best neighbor anyone would want. Wake up and see things as they really are
Be nice ocifer..... Just cause you have a badge doesnt give you the right to be a fu..in idiot too. Tough guy.

More crucial police work like... Stalking the local tavern and writing tickets to the owner for cleaning up past 3 am . Hey Navaro it was a bar when your fat ass moved in next door.

Sounds like some cry baby who has no idea what he's talking about, but thinks during his endless hours sitting at a bar he's somehow figured it all out.

So you'd like them to write tickets for minor offenses like turning on red, but leave the bar alone? They both seem pretty similar on the "crucial police work" scale.

Maybe the police could focus on more "crucial police work" if they weren't tied up with chasing down some dog that the irresponsible owner can't or doesn't care to take responsibility for.

And the whole telling them who called kinda runs along the lines of the being confronted by your accusers clause in the US constitution.

If you'd like to see action, be prepared to stand by your allegations or just sit back and whine about what "should" be done on Topix.

What does that say about our police if three cars run the same light knowingly in front of them, and the police knowingly watching doing nothing about it . You say minor offense, it's plain lazy no cares here to collect a paycheck. How about the police called for underage drinking on 12600 blk of Elm 7/25/13 cop advised the caller that he could not arrest,or cite them because the were in there own yard. so.. underage consumption is o.k. as long as your in your own yard.

Would you say that leaving the police radar trailer in the same spot for two weeks with a dead battery,is a waste of our tax dollars?
What purpose is it to monitor speeding cars when speeding is not enforced.

Same old stories. There's always something, someone gets a ticket and it's isn't there more serious crime. Someone doesn't get a ticket and it's lazy cops.

You'll be the same one complaining when you do get a ticket. Be careful what you wish for, because it may happen.

Just sit any where on Greenwood or Maple and hand out tickets all day long to the idiots that can't seem to see stop signs (not even public works vehicles are able to stop at these signs)Try strolling through the local bars and checking out the underaged being served. What about the littereing fines? It would serve the community well to have a special police officer just for some of these infractions and the city would easily make back the officer's pay in all the fines they would collect.
