That's a real pile of Snit.It would be a wonderful thing if everything we asked for was done immediately, but guess what......some things just take time. Why is that? Maybe because the city has to wait on other entities on a higher government scale. It's like a chain of command. You tell "X" , who then has to go to "Y", who then has to take it to "Z". I am sure we are not the only community with bridge issues. Whoever is sitting at the top making these decisions is the reason for the hold up. Some things are within the city's control, some things are not, but you never take that into consideration before you want to start blasting someone do you? All that tells me is you have a lack of common knowledge. Know your facts before you open your mouth. You're only making yourselves look like idiots..........

Civil rights violations, clout, connections, and evidence was ignored by Blue Island police and the Cook County state’s attorney’s office in the handling of Blue Island cases.

Most interesting was Mr. Webb's detailed inside look into how it all works and the high level of cooperation from police departments, states attorney's office, and the court system. Then states attorney O'Brien who should have been charged, dismissed, or terminated by Anita Alverez's office was permitted or allowed to retire.

Shaw said in a letter to U.S. Attorney Zachary Fardon.
“We believe that, although Mr. Webb found no direct evidence of an organized conspiracy, his own findings strongly suggest that is still a possibility,” Shaw wrote.“We also believe the behaviors of police and prosecutors could constitute civil rights violations.”
A spokesman for Fardon would not comment Tuesday.
