Oh yeah, I spent alot of time there. I attended a BB King concert with fake press credentials and I have alot of old photos of the interior of the place if you are interested. For people who don't know, if you take Sauk Trail east until it dead-ends on Route 30, it used to be near that corner.(Or was it exactly at that corner?)

I also attended Steve Dahl's disco demolition that he held there before he did the White sox one!!

I would love to see the old pix of Pointe East. I was the club director and stage emcee at the club. I do not have too many pix, but a lot of memories.

I have a treasured photo of B.B. and I from that night at Pointe East. Also shots with other acts from there. Spent three years there up until when it closed in April of 1983. Lots of good timesaver and great bands.

I was a bartender there for a couple years. We had Mountain, Wendy O Williams, Dave Mason, Humble Pie tons more I wish I could remember but it was the early 80s and if you remember it you weren't there. When I first started working there a guy named Dave was the manager. He and his accountant were pretty coked out and split with a lot of money. The place closed for a few months and Paul and Hugh Buchanan who were owners reopened the place and I worked in the office during the day and went back to tending bar at night. Damn place got pretty packed most nights. Cops arrested Wendy O Williams after her concert, she was insane! She beat up a photographer in the park that afternoon. She came out on stage wearing a school girl skirt and whip cream. You know the Lynwood cops came unraveled with that kind of stuff too. Paul and Hugh started doing wet t shirt contests offering huge cash prizes. I won those contests as often as I could before they really caught on and I was quickly out classes by some amazingly beautiful women. Guys came out of the woodwork, it was incredible. There was a pool and cabana house behind the place which had I nice tiki bar I could work on occasion. Upside down margaritas were the craze there. It was very private with a lake beyond the pool. A quaint little place next door called Svobodas was a great place to go for a quieter drink or dinner. We used to live the stories we would hear from the whorehouse down the street. I would give anything to see some old pics, hell I might even be in a few. Loved that place a lot!!!

So, we are trying to remember the bar in Lynwood that was on the curve on 30 at Dyer and Lynwood. It was in the old Log Restaurant location? Can't remember the name of the club!
