What a terrible mess, the well educated, uneducated, and those expected to represent us at city hall are responsible for the terrible conditions in which all of the people live.

DID YOU KNOW?
As  you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U.S. Supreme Court you can
see near the top of the building a row of the world's law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view ... It is Moses and he is holding the
Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom,
the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments
engraved on each lower portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?
As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court Judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?
There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington , D.C.

DID YOU KNOW?
James Madison, the fourth president, known as
'The Father of Our Constitution' made the Following statement:

'We have staked the whole of all our political Institutions upon the capacity of mankind
for Self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control  ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to The Ten Commandments of  God.'

DID YOU KNOW?
Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a
paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the
taxpayer since 1777.

DID  YOU KNOW?
Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established Orthodox churches in the colonies..

DID YOU KNOW?
Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of Interpreting the law would begin making law an oligarchy: the rule of few over many.

How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this
Country is now suddenly wrong and Unconstitutional?

Remember what this great country was Built on The Holy Bible and belief in GOD!

This became apparent to me during the Chuck Gowdie interview. Bob Rita also needs the ethics course. Mayor Vargas does not believe in the Rule of Law.

Poor Vargas taking the heat for Rita. You know he wont be on the Rita ticket for the next Mayoral election. It couldn't be going any better for Rita to seat his next 7 alderman and new Mayor.

Illinois' true political excellence

Illinois has excellence at all levels of government. This is a rather shocking statement to most folks looking at our fair state. What’s not specified is what the folks at the head of our government are excellent at.

They are excellent election winners. They all know how to raise money, make promises and pander to various interest groups. Once in office, they continue to pursue that particular form of excellence. Tragically, they are proving to be quite the opposite at leading, managing and governing. Indeed, the very traits that make them excellent office seekers are the basis of their inability to run a complicated organization be it city, county or state.

Businesses are leaving the state. People who have worked hard to build businesses are now at risk of being taxed at a higher level so that these same election winners can pay for their unfunded promises. New laws and regulations are flowing out of Springfield and Chicago to satisfy some of those promises made, regardless of whether they actually serve the greater good.

This next election cycle, we should consider just who we’re voting for. We all want excellence at the helm. Let’s make sure its excellence in the proper skill sets.

Mayor Vargas, STOP using these people every council meeting. When will you address the real problems of the city of Blue Island. When will you open the bridges, concentrate on the uptown business district, replace our streets? And fulfill the rest of your political promises(lies)?

Grand jury indicts Lake Station mayor, wife, stepdaughter
Updated at 08:25 PM today

April 16, 2014 (LAKE STATION, Ind.)(WLS)-- A federal grand jury indicted a northwest Indiana mayor and his wife.

Prosecutors say Lake Station Mayor Keith Soderquist and his wife, Deborah took cash for gambling and other purposes from a campaign finance account and a city food pantry.

Last fall, federal agents searched Lake Station City Hall looking for evidence.

On Wednesday, the grand jury also indicted former city employee Miranda Brakley for allegedly stealing funds from the city. She's the mayor's stepdaughter.

Issue an Order requiring Letke to disgorge the ill-gotten gains that he received,
