That's one hell of a stunt. Too bad the moron didn't go off the bridge and drown.

Unfortunate incident, poor guy just happens to be changing a tire at the same time this drunk is driving by and loses control. I wonder how close the bicylist was to the parkway.

Motorized bike or foot powered, they are unsafe on L.I. roads.

I bike this path every weekend and wondered when this would happen. Two weeks ago I witnessed a drag race in broad daylight at 8 AM on the Wantagh Parkway. I hope they lock up this jerk for a few years.

The bike path is right next to the parkway in that area. Iím wondering how the motorcyclist made it between the safety poles without hitting one and killing himself.

What safety poles? The area is wide open with the path pretty close to the road at that point

This is someone who seems to have never learned his lesson, check his record and put him away..
I know him and he has been on a bad path for years..Maybe now he will be put away for life...Too bad someone had to die first

These past few years I give one last look at my family and my home just before driving on the LI parkways. I'm never sure if I'll make it back. When I do make it back I always have a "some guy almost killed me" story.

They're on the new bridge, but not really on the old Goose Creek bridge. They just finished that span & the bike path in late spring

I drove past the accident site shortly after it must have occurred. All the cops were gathered right at the south end of the first Wantagh bridge. I thought someone jumped in when I saw the scene.

i was down there last night too, and was not surprised to see an accident there, its an open stretch and idiots on motorcycles fly by me there all the time, its a shame this clown had to drink and ride and take another mans life, i dont understand how people can have a few drinks and jump on their motorcycle...now the next 2 months of the season will be littered with troopers busting balls for going 80 down that stretch because this guy managed to drive off the road nearly into the water and run a poor guy over, what really aggravates me is that hes going to continue with his life, amazes me how that happens all the time, hope they put him avay for a very very long time
thanks jackass, enjoy prison

Im a little troubled, are they even done with all the work and is there a fence... I also know these Harley Riders usually don't fly off their bikes on a few beers... Usually pretty good riders ...
