Girl's name, Talula Does The Hula, won't do

A family court judge in New Zealand has had enough with parents giving their children bizarre names here, and did something about it.

Just when I think I've seen the limit on how stupid people can really get, I read this.

What is really sad is that a judge had to step in. Why is it that some people seem to forget the child is going to be stuck with the name on the birth certificate for life (or until they are 18 and can get it legally changed). Give the kid a normal name and leave it up to the child to decide if they want to change it to something screwy to prove how "unique & special" they are. There are better ways to express individuality.
