This is very heartbreaking news, it is so tragic when young people lives are taken trying to save other young lives who were in an accident. I just pray that the families look to God in these trouble times. I'm praying for you and the loved ones you lost.May God be with you during this very difficult time.

So who do we blame? I'd sure like to see the results of that audit, and the maintenance records? Were the pilots properly trained yearly? C'mon Maryland State, step up to the plate.

The investigation is underway, and the first thing to come out is "who do we blame"! Come on, let the folks do their jobs and found out exactly what happened. This was a terrible crash. You want to see maintenance records, go up there, and get involved. Maybe "your" questions will be answered. Those pilots were professionals! Are you?

Blame? If blame is going to be pointed, point it at the sky. Pilots and medics do their darnest to aid in situation's when one of us EMT's request it. The only fault in this accident is the fact that people are dead over it, let's try and just pull together and pray for the family's of the victims. I for one will say that we depend on the Troopers to take high priority patients to the facilitys that can better aid them then the local hospital.

Wow... we're looking for someone to blame? Well as one who has had to fly with the Maryland State Troopers to a local hosptial. They took excellent care of my husband and I, and I'm confident that the pilot was trained. The weather had been bad all weekend, it's not suprising that there was fog.

I'm so sorry for the families of all of the victims.

My thoughts and prayers go to the families of those heroes that lost their lives while helping others, as well as those of this young adult.

a livable community, you are a jerk. Who cares about blame. Bottom line people lost loved ones. I'm glad to hear your sympathy for these people. Mr. Bunker was a veteran pilot who had more then sufficent training. He was a great man and a better father. I've known them for ten years. Do not question his abilities.

You're one of those "once a jerk...always a jerk" kind of guys, aren't you?

You certainly won't think so, but the rest of us do.

My thoughts and prayers also, go to the families. I have 3 close family members that have been flown by the MSP and Trooper 2. The MSP have been the premiere Helicopter operators of the world.
The MSP flight corp started almost 40 yrs ago with very experienced Vietnam Veteran pilots fresh out of Vietnam. Giving their hundreds of hours of military flight experience to a blossoming MSP flight corp. The force continues to be comprised of such people today.
For my opionin on the accident of the helicopter let me give you some backround on my actions of Saturday night. I left Waldorf for Mechanicsville at 11:27 to I drive to my friends house. I used my cars' high-beams on roads I typically don't drive on. I left his house at 12:23 and could barely see the road (and couldn't use my high beams). I was thinking while driving home I should not have driven because of the fog. There was moisture coming off the road when I left Waldorf, but that had been happening all day with the on again, off again, rain.
I surmise that many belived that fog wasn't imminenat when Trooper 2 left AAFB and in all probability what you could call "the window" closed abruptly on them between; 2-4 minute takeoff time, the 6-8 minute flight to Waldorf, the 12-19 minute on ground time (stabilizing 2 patient's), and the 10-16 minute flight past Andrews toward Prince Georges Shock Trauma in Cheverely before realizing fog was to low to see the 9 story building and flying back towards AAFB with some confusing on what they were seeing after passing Ritchie Marlboro Rd and the Washington Beltway and the lighting on the out skirts of Walker Mill Park.

P.S. My heart goes out to all, we all will depend on such life flights in the future.
