My son was two buses behind the bus and said a girl had a big cut on her side. He also said the other day his driver had an accident and hit the guardrail and went in the other lane when she corrected. I really think they need to evaluate these drivers. If we get enough people to call they have to do something.

This is ONE reason seatbelts on a school bus should be mandatory!!

im a student of dinwiddie high school and there has been many wrecks on that road. there has been complaints that the road is unsafe. the road needs to be fixed. and the buses need seat belts! some of my classmastes were on that bus and some of my friends in the buses behind it.

These bus drivers are usually no better than some of the other non-driving idiots on our roads. There must be better ways to certify these school bus drivers as qualified to transport our children.......and, what ever happened to the talk years ago of having and using seat belts on school buses???

Do Not put seatbelts on the bus. If the bus should happen to become involved in a bad crash. I would not want to have to choose which child to unbuckle first. Unless there is a fool-proof button to push to unlatch all the seatbelts at the same time. DO NOT INSTALL THEM.

Being a student of Dinwiddie County Public Schools I'm shocked at this! I thank God that I wasn't on that bus when this happened.

the only problem with seat belts is that it would be hard to make all of the students weat them

DEAR ANGIE, WHY DON'T YOU DRIVE A SCHOOL BUS?
I AM SURE YOU CAN DO A MUCH BETTER JOB.
OR BETTER YET. DRIVE YOUR OWN KID TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY.
THE COUNTY DOES NOT HAVE TO TRANSPORT YOUR STUDENT, RIDING A SCHOOL BUS IS A SERVICE THAT IT IS NOT MANDATE BY THE LAW.

The fact is road accidents happen. I am sure the bus driver is a competent driver. Let us not focus on placing blame. Let us all just think of the children and hope they are alright.
