I was also on the road that night. It was horrible. I passed a man lying on the road straight across the left lane and his feet just touching the center white lines. I told my husband "oh my God I think there's a man in the road and had been hit.…" . I stopped the car called 911 and he jumps out and asked where I saw him and I told him back there behind us up the road in the middle of the left lane and not on the side of the road.. 911 is asking me about him, I couldn't answer cause I just passed him meanwhile they wanted to know where we were and Kenny is running back to see if what I saw was what I said I saw. Then he heard people screaming and yelling for help. I continue to back up and aim my car sidesways in the road toward the wood area and screams for light. Shortly afterward help arrived. Rescue was everywhere. What was really disturbing about this whole situation besides the whole situation is the OTHER PASSER BYERS! People just drove on by! I don't know how many before I saw him in the road just drove on by..HOW CAN ANYONE OF BEEN THAT COLD HEARTED!! It was just my husband , 911 and i I and he was down in the ditch tellling them to calm down help was on the way..TWO cars AFTER PASSING HIM ALMOST HIT MY CAR that was sideways. I had to back up both times so I know for a fact they saw too the horrible scene and these two cars just kept going! What the hell is wrong with people! Those cars actually had to go infront of my car to get by and to do this I had to back up. They could of gone around the back of my car. It was like they were rubber necking...what is wrong with people they couldn't stop to help. Kenny was down in the wooded section at their car trying to calm them down talking to them and surely could of used some help. We are so sorry for all those that was in the accident and our prayers go out to all th familes.
Thank you very much for stopping to help everyone at the crash site. The young man that you found was my cousins son from Colonial Heights, Virginia.
