Hammers and clubs kill more people in this country than all types of semiautomatic rifles combined. See "FBI Expanded Homicide Data Table 8". True assault rifles, known as machineguns due to their full auto or burst capability, aren't even a consideration in terms of deaths.

Always like those dumb reporters' lines in stories like "and now the family is demanding justice." as though that is some kind of teaser. Less than 24 hours after the crime and the reporter decides to start interpreting statements from the family.

BTW, also love that effort on the reporter to add--ahem--"color" to the story by including the bad grammar in the quote: "Like he done..."

Maybe I will show up to the funeral of one of the reporter's loved ones and start harassing people for silly statements.

It list hammers and clubs in blunt object group, which also include other blunt objects (metal rod, board, etc.) Until you get actual solid numbers of the deaths from only clubs and hammers you can't really compare.

My heart goes out to the family. This poor young lady had her whole life ahead of her. More than likely a senseless tragedy. May God wrap his loving arms around you all...

Curious, I just happened to watch the piece on this murder, a family member was being interviewed, this happened just last night? Not a tear being shed over this girl. Just seemed odd.

People all handle death in different ways. I am sure this family is in shock and still can't believe this happened. Please don't make this comment page about gun rights and politics. People that want to kill will even if they have to use their bare hands. Please let this family see good come out of people not hurtful mean opinions.

Just wondering about the statement in the article that states 2 CNA's stayed with her until first responders showed up, one even gave Miss Rose a coat. Please tell me they did more than just "stay" with her and provide a coat. Surely being CNA's they tried to stop the bleeding or something.
I can only imagine this article failed to tell details, at least I hope that's the case here. But hats off to them for not turning a blind eye as some would have done. Thank you both for comforting her at death's door, my heart breaks for her and her family.

Well, now the lies will begin. I hope the justice system will see thru his lies since they will only hear one side of the story. I hope the family can find confort in all the memories they carry in thier hearts. To the family just remember what the justice sytems don't do, God will.
