Putting a human face on crime is a good idea. That's why I never throw a copy of the Crime Times away---I pass it on to my local church so the folks can match the names to the faces that they see lurking in the woods nearby.

A (gawd help me) decent cop I know at the Cville PD told me not long ago, and he was being very sarcastic, there is no crime in Cville.

While I think the idea of recognizing victims of crime is important I really wish they would not have released all those balloons. The balloons don't just disappear when they float away. They pop, become litter and some of the material ends up ingested by wildlife.

I will be a victom of a crime this week , I just drove past the Crimora post office . FLAG FLYING in the dark , door propped open to the boxes like a crack house .

The crime is I gotta go put mailbox post up after a lifetime of visiting the Crimora PO in the rockest ground this side of china . I hope I have to buy a few for others and send the PO message .

The Crimora PO has become more usless than teets on a bore hog.

I figure its a federal offence if i go lower that flag and take it back over in the morning .

One more time imma lower than flag myself . WE never had this problem before .

The balloons were biodegradable — the only type of balloon used in a professionally-produced mass release. A latex balloon’s molecular structure begins breaking down with inflation and gathers momentum when exposed to sunlight and the atmosphere. Within three hours, most latex balloons released into the atmosphere rise to approximately five miles, begin to oxidize, freeze and shatter into very small spaghetti-like pieces. Once on the ground gases and microorganisms attack the latex, continuing the natural decomposition process — even in the dark.
So relax.
