Petie Craddock served well as a member of the Albemarle Planning Commission, and his selection as interim supervisor bodes well for Albemarle County.

Yup, bowties are cool. Don't see them much anymore, which is a shame. I never could tie one myself.

His votes will tell us his true colors. I'm not sure a bow tie says it all.

I think its awesome that they chose Petie for the position, the only sad part is that he will only be filling it temporarily. I'm a conservative by nature but I have know Petie for years and he is an honorable person whether he is a registered Democrat or Independant. I know he does not hold the far left views that the democrat and "independant" haha that are currently on council. He should seriously reconsider running for the position. Just because he has stated that he didn't intend to run doesn't mean he can't change his mind. people change their minds all of the time and with whats at stake he really should. RUN PETIE RUN !!! you have this conservatives support.

It was the Republicans that appointed Craddock in the end, which is interesting because he's a Democrat-leaning independent. I must admit, I didn't think they (the Republicans) would do this, but they did. You know, they could have controlled the whole thing. They already have a majority, and if they had appointed a fourth Republican, they could have called all the shots. But they did the right thing and kept the balance of power three to three. When the Dumler case came up, Chris Dumler said it was all Drummed up by the Tea Party and the conservatives. But it wasn't I guess. Otherwise, we would have a Republican and not Craddock on the board.

Excellent choice!

I was hoping for a woman, but let's hope a woman runs during the special election.

As for Chris Dumler and his followers ranting on and on about this being a Tea Party plot: you were wrong again as usual.
