Where is the NRA when this guy needs one. He was only making a statement at the expense of society about his 2nd Amendment rights people.

Hmmmm......he should have gone to Kroger! And how dare anyone get in the way of his bullets! He paid good money for them. In fact....he should sue that business for infringing on HIS rights. What's this world coming to when you can no longer show off your manliness by popping off a few rounds in a public place? Obviously this poor, law abiding, gentle, scholar is being set up. Hopefully the NRA will come (with guns a'blazin') to his rescue. After all......who wouldn't trust their children with this guy?

Wrong yet one more time.

The overwhelming number of guns used in crimes throughout Virginia are one result of the drug money that no one wants to talk about. Chrome rims, guns, rings, gold chains and the Escalades in front of the public housing units speak to the drug money that is probably Charlottesville and Albemarle's largest employer if the city council ever did an honest survey (unlike the laughable bum count).

Very little information (so far) on the shooter.

Betting he was probably unlawfully in possession of the firearm in the first place and didn't have to go through a background check to get it.

But alas, once again focus is being put on an inanimate object and not the person in control of it.

Even though I'm a staunch supporter of the 2nd Amendment... the guy who walked into Kroger with an AR15 was nothing short of an asinine fool. He is the type of 2A advocate that makes the news and fuels the negative stereotype for the rest of us (who have far better judgement than to do something so stupid).

we'll go with that, I was going off initial dispatch/staging info/radio traffic.
But either way, that trio of motels in that 1/2 mile stretch, certainly keep our local LE/fire/rescue busy. As well as the "ladies of the night, self certified pharmaceutical techs", and people looking for a cheap place to party.

The NRA is smart enough to distinguish between a lawful citizen responsibly possessing a firearm and a criminal who posses a firearm only to do harm with it.(And I don't consider that nut at Kroger to fall into either of those categories.)

Need more info? Here ya go...all the Mr. Johnsons listed have the same DOB, so looks like the shooter has been a regular customer in Buckinham Co. courts. How fortunate for us he has come to share his special talents with Albemarle Co.
