Catch it, stab it, or shoot it. Who cares as long as it isn't slithering around. Have you seen the problems Florida has with these things because of people letting them loose and hurricanes destorying the road side zoos? Don't need that here.

Good job Boathouse employee.
Tried to kill what was undoubtedly someone's [expensive!] pet in favor of trying to save a worthless [rabid] possum.
What an idiot. I won't be eating at the Boathouse anymore. They apparently employ people withouse high school diplomas.
<---actually YOU won't be eating at the Boathouse cause they closed down !! anyone know WHY ?

Was the snake really caught? Or is this just another story to satisfy the public. I thought the orginal snake was a Burmese python......and had stab wound. Where's the stab wound in this picture? I dont believe this is the same snake. A Red Tail boa?

Wouldn't be surprised if it was a random photo. I'll give NBC benefit of the doubt and say it was incorrectly identified initially.

Only good snake is a dead one, doesn't matter what kind it is, but this is NOT the same snake as earlier reported. Which is it a python (1st reporting) or the boa (latest reporting).

Is this the rule you apply to things you don't understand or have no practicle use for? too bad we can't apply that to the people that appear worthless....

Homes were found for all of the animals at Pet Forum before it closed. Nothing was released into the wild by them.

Here is a little reptile information for those of you who hear the work snake and freak out. A snake will only attack if it is hungry. Plus if you look at the snake, the largest around part of their body is equal to the largest prey they can consume. They are not people, they do not kill just to be killing. If it is too big for them to consume, they tend to leave it along or flee from it. The only danger these people seem to have is from their own ignorance. People think pandas are so cute, well guess what, they have killed more people then snakes. OH cute does kill.

It has been reported elsewhere that the pet shop nearby that closed let the snake loose. If that can be proven, isn't there some consequence for that? If not, it's still irresponsible, ignorant, and cruel for them to just release it.
I worked for the pet store when it was closed. WE RELEASED NOTHING..
