1 I agree with you!! Take drugs off the streets and away from the kids and community. There is alot there. finally they are getting some of the dealers and narcs. So what if there is one more gone it helps the economy. |

1 I believe in the community stepping up, there are so many kids in trouble. A place to be able to be educated,to talk without persecution or judgment. If there is no education about the kind of drugs that are out today, kids will continue to try them. Sorry, nobody special, when I was in school there were a few cops up there that did do drugs, I don't know about now. They certainly didn't set a good example for us kids back then. The fact that they can't even get some of the major dealers off the street of a small town sure makes me wonder. I've worked with kids there and the difference of seeing a kid hooked is a eye opener. After education and a lot of counseling by listening and again educating really does work, if you catch them when they are younger while they are still human. Do you think maybe instead of making Mr. Tafoya's daughter a target of your message, don't you think there might be a chance for someone while they are still alive? Dealing with their Mother's death and now the Father has got to be one of the most difficult heartrending things to go through, no matter the reason. An open heart reaches far more than you will ever know. So, I'm not making excuses, just suggestions. With some drugs like methamphetamine's, you better do your homework. Once hooked, it is a vicious cycle and they are not in control anymore, the drug is. The police in Holbrook should be challenged to get out there and make arrests, they need to step up and work with the community with these programs and then follow through by arresting the dealers and drug maker wannabes. Holbrook's problem sure isn't pot anymore. That was the main reason my family left, young children to raise. During those years it just seemed the only solution. |

1 12 Then the disciples came to him and asked,“Do you not know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?” 13 He replied,“Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them; they are blind guides. If a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” 15 Peter said,“Explain the parable to us.” 16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. 17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man ‘unclean’. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what make a man ‘unclean’; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him ‘unclean’.” |

1 3Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 4Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. 5Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth. 6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they will be filled. 7Blessed are the merciful, for they shall be shown mercy. 8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. 9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God. 10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. |

1 Thank you Jesus. Gil was a good man. If anyone knew him, they knew his door was open to anyone who needed a helping hand. He took in many young men and women that needed safe haven and he was trustworthy and caring. Holbrook needs more than the crooked police department to be arresting drug addicts, it needs the community to step up to the plate and take care of it's residents. Come on Holbrook...do you know what drug rehab is? Why do all the truly recovering addicts have to turn to Tucson and Phoenix? |

1 My parent was never the same and she made the same mistakes, only with alcohol. But the pain was completely unbearable. Perfect, heck no. A reason for anyone to judge, heck no. Right now there 4 kids and other family grieving. Maybe at this time, we should be reaching out to the family. Meals, cards, love and compassion for their loss. Everything else will come to light and hopefully be dealt with. Then comes the hard work, cleaning up Holbrook, and finding a way to bring in jobs. transparency within the City when they hire officers will help weed the bad ones out. A better way of dealing with the drug problems that have plagued Holbrook since the 60's. |

Holbrook does have a substance abuse program for teenagers (and it's a very good one...don't EVEN slam it because I know very few of you are aware of it!!!); unfortunately the people who are in charge of sending them to this program apparently do not take marijuana seriously or alcohol and therefore they don't refer them until much later. Also other individuals who are in "power" won't look at substance abuse issues due to their own "demons" and once again will refer someone for anger management when in all honesty they need substance abuse treatment. Then you have CPS workers who are untrained in substance abuse treatment and they will make their recomendations for counseling and disregard the professional's recomendations...or even better the Jr High and High school's principals act as if Holbrook doesn't have a drug problem among their kids...don't even ask why I made this statement...one hell of a story!!! PEOPLE this is such B.S!!!!! Look I don't know the man who died and to his family I'm sorry for your loss and hope that with time this wound will heal. But to blame him as the "king pin" is FUCKING RETARDED due to the evidenced listed above...people start thinking and take accountability for your own actions!!!
