Last Monday my husband and I thought we would try out the new Barts BBQ. It was before the lunch rush so the place was not busy. 3-4 tables in use. 2 Waitresses in the place and a sign as you approached the counter telling you to be seated if you were eating in. We sat down and waited....and waited....and waited. We were ignored. The other people in the place were being checked on but we were invisible. We got up and left. Needless to say we will NEVER go back to this place. Their webpage says "Southern Hospitality"...Really???
We went to Shoney's that day and had a great meal.

I haven't eaten lunch there, however I have tried breakfast, the steak bis. was waaaay over done but the bis. was not cooked completly, I gave the benefit of the doubt and tried again like a month later and same thing! I don't understand why a bisc. has to be done on the outside and doughy on the inside, the meat needs to be cooked but not so cooked that its like eating a rock! Try the original spot in Pomona, I have eaten lunch there, I don't think they serve breakfast but the lunch is always great at that location. Maybe they should change the staff at the hwy 70 location if they don't seem to get it right! Just saying

Until he gets rid those kids he has working there its going to be a bad place to eat. They stay to busy talking and flirting and if you notice they do not evan wash their hands. Why does any one put in a business and put teen's to work in it with out adult supervision and than wonder why they are not making any money..PS the food is so bad,its better to go to the old place and drive a little further.

I had breakfast there the other morning, it took them six minutes to fix a steak bisc., sausage bisc., and two drinks.....Bisc. was hard as a rock like it sat under a heat lamp for hours, server said the wait was so long due to cooking the steak, so it was fresh, now what good does it do to cook the steak fresh while you wait if the bisc. has sat for hours and is so hard you could use it as a weapon? I made my last trip there, it certainly needs a new work crew, these people, grown or not don't have a clue what they are doing and it appears that they don't even care.....owner cut to the chase, pay them and don't bother them with work they just don't care, Do you?

I have made no attempt to try the place again. Just not interested. I don't know how they have

I have had two bad meals at Bart's BBQ. The first visit was ok,just ok.BBQ was ok but not great. The next two visits were not good at all. We will not be going back. Fossy's is much much better and cost much less for what you get.Even whit's is better and a better deal. The last meal I ate at Bart's was shameful. The owner was rude to the help and was not helpful to them, the food should not have been served.

I have eaten at Bart's and have had a great experience. The food was excellent, restaurant was clean and well maintained. The servers were friendly and professional. It really seems like a lot of sour grapes from people that have other issues reading the post. Just my take on the comments.

I have been by there a few times in the past few days and it appears to be closed. I am not surprised. I may have had a different opinion of this place if we had been given the chance to try the food. You only get one chance to make a first impression. I hope whatever business goes in there next treats their patrons better.

I hear ya. Really it started out in Pomona by a young man who as a teen worked at Cherry's BBQ. If anyone remembers BOB CHERRY'S BBQ. it was where whitts bbq is now. Any how it was good bbq. Barts opened it was real pit bbq. He stayed fairly busy. Then for some reason he sold it to a man who ruined it. He moved ot to the hwy 70 location but until he gor it fully up and running he hauled his cooked food on that van from pomona location. Then he had to install grill and a basically fake pit, cause some reason was against code to have an open pit on that property, and from then out it sucked. He was also very rude man. Talked down to his employees especially the females. I heard him cussin at them one evenin.
