This is a bit too conveeenient in my opinion. I'm pretty sure that a trooper could have arrived on the scene just as quickly (if nor more so) than the good judge. There's simply too many holes in this tale. Since there was no report made at the scene, we'll never know if the driver was indeed wearing his seatbelt and we'll never know if he was driving under the influence. In fact, this accident was not even reported at all by the son or the judge. It was discovered by a passing motorist and reported upon by Dennis Ferrier. They had to trace the tags to even find out who the car belonged to. I'm sure that the trooper who interviewed Jody was just a bit intimidated by being in Judge Moore's house and in his presence when he made his report. I'd be willing to bet that the son had plenty of time to drink lots of coffee and compose a story (well before the trooper came to the house). This is a whole lot like Chappaquidic (Ted Kennedy's lame story) but with much less tragedy involved. At least no one died in this accident. What sucks is the fact that the judge would have had ZERO sympathy if someone came before him in his courtroom with such a bullshit excuse such as this. Just another case of double standards, and a judge taking advantage of his power in a small town. This was a blatant attempt to cover this up, and in effect, it is over and the books are closed. I don't blame the son, because if my dad was a long standing judge I'd run to him for help too.
