The Dickson Herald is printed and delivered on Wednesdays and Fridays in the local areas. Not being a native but having settled here six years ago I am really upset with local law enforcement of late. In the past few months in the articles for the County Sheriff's Office Arrests and the Dickson Police Warrants they have listed multiple announcements where the person has many counts of driving on suspended or revoked licenses. Example of this in paper dated August 15, 2012 - Brian K. Ashley; 39; HWY 48 South, Dickson. Failure to appear on 5 counts of driving with a revoked license. What is this? Why is there even a vehicle available to this person? Does their family know they should not be driving? In the past months there have been named individuals with 3, 5, 7 and even 11 counts. Where is the justice system and with that many counts where is law enforcement?

Looks like law enforcement was there 3,5,7 and even 11 times. Taking them to jail every time they are caught is law enforcement doing their jobs. Them being let out and able to keep driving is the judicial system. If it bothers you that much, call your lawmakers and see what you can do to help make punishments more harsh for repeat offenders

Unfortunately I think the days of serve and protect are over with! I got into law enforcement one time years ago thinking it was noble profession and it didn't take very long to find out I as wrong! There will always be some good cops but unfortunately the number of corrupt cops in " good ole " Dickson county far out way the number of good cops! As for our good cops keep on keeping on god knows your few in numbers!
