Cornyn is exactly like all the other politicians in this country. He's a liar trying hard to convince his constituents that he's acting in their best interests. He's a big part of the problem. And he's a weasel for trying to distance himself from Washington. He voted for tarp. He thinks it's easy for people to come up with more tax money so he can stupidly waste it.

I hear that cuz. The power of incumbancy is getting out of control. It's almost impossible to get an incumbant out when they use our tax money to promote their reelection. We should look at our representatives like underwear. They should be changed regularly or they'll surely go bad.

Dufus Maria,
The Democrats were in charge for 40 years, not the Republicans.
Republicans had 6 years and they started acting like Democrats and that's how they lost in 2006.

Maria? Maria? Maria?
Where are you Maria?

If you look at Texas it seems that our state is doing pretty dern good for Republicans running it. It's actually going great compared to the rest of the country! Compared to other Democrat controlled states it's like a safe haven! I wonder if that's why people are moving here....less taxes and smaller government. We don't even have a state income tax and we were able to have a $10billion surplus last year, which the state did give back to some people. For example, they gave out more grants with the extra money to college students, me being one of them. I have friends in Cali and they are fed up with their government, and don't even say Arnold is a repub, b/c he definitely doesn't act like one.

God bless Texas! You also have a rainy day surplus fund. You know how to handle taxpayer money.
What everyone seems to be missing is that Cornyn is a Republican :)
I love it. Conservatives are out there cleaning up their own party and holding their politicians feet to the fire.
Come on Democrats...get off the Obama train and do the same thing with yours.
Let's shrink that federal government down to size and run corporate lobbyist corruption out of DC for good.

The big oil will still be alive and well doing business in China, India, and Brazil to name a few places. Which by the way suggests that our green expenditures and spiked costs are all purposeless because if we use the flawed statistics, they tell us that our efforts here won't defeat the carbon production that continues elsewhere.
Oh well. It sounds so moral to be green though. Meaningless, but pretty. Maybe we could just bomb those other countries into submission. Oh wait, we don't go to war over green, only over oil...or do we?

Corny isn't very smart, he's just another rhetoric machine. Tells a few poopkickers what they want to hear all the way off the cliff. Just another day in mediocre, good ol boy texas politics.

Yeah, bottom academic scores in the nation, lower range median income, top polluter; doing just dandy. Shut your eyes tighter, some reality might get in.

You don't rate in the top ten for richest or best educated, but you are in the top half for both of them. Take a look at your tax burden though...Texas excels. I think you need to open your eyes and appreciate your strengths.

Hey, check out the links, it's not so bad as you are trying to have us believe. Especially when you consider the tax burden.
