Wow, the Mormons really are THE American Success story.

I mean just look at the shit hole they have created in SLC.

They even accept radioactive waste to bury in their state. Not to mention numerous shit holes like Magcorp, Dugway and the Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility (think nerve gas).

Yeah, a real success.

"They're so successful because they out-do Protestants and Catholics in appealing to the self-righteous, those who choose to save themselves by doing good works.
That's also why it's anti-Christian, because it throws Jesus out. Who needs Him when you can elevate yourself to the status of savior?
They're also successful because Protestants drive people away from church, and God. Their ministers and televangelists have been telling Americans that God demands that they vote Republican, which drove out liberals, every intelligent person, and everybody able to thing for themselves." I say f uck it.

Just be you and live life.

If your a prick so be it. A Molly Mormon, so be it.

But do the "works" for the Lord? Give me a break.

Proof that blessings come true? Yeah, right. I prayed growing up that I'd have my throat slashed and left for dead, wondered why I was not aborted, and imagined life if Mom and Dad would have used a condom.

Unfortunately I'm still here. Dreading every living moment. Yeah, God has a plan for me. To fu ck me every step of the way.

I'm curious, since when is the Mormon church responsible for radioactive waste dumps, Magcorp, Dugway, and the Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility? Utah is not ruled by Mormons, nor is it entirely made up of them. As recently as 2007 the mormon numbers in Utah fell as low as 60.7%, and out of that number I can tell you that a big chunk would self-identify as Jack-Mormon. Your statements are childish and simplistic, and ultimately have very little to do with the subject of the article.

Another bigot. Utah is not rules by Mormons? Yeah, right.

Utah Senate majority leader arrested on suspicion of DUI
"In a statement, Killpack -- who is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which tells followers to abstain from alcohol -- publicly apologized."

http://www.sltrib.com/ci_14200462...

or:

Utah's newest senator - he's LDS, liberal and rising rapidly
http://www.sltrib.com/ci_14207292...

or how about the bigots suppressing gay rights?

Utah lawmakers, Mormon church leaders discuss issues but not gay rights
http://www.deseretnews.com/article/705359561/...

We don't need to prove that Hatch and Bennett are LDS, do we?

Huh. What about alcohol?

Got to love this one. The Good 'Ol Boy (RULDS2) network lives on in Utah:

the Syracuse race for mayor and two council seats has already generated stinging accusations of team-ticket running, rumors of a mayoral candidate being associated with the Democratic Party and the judging of two candidates' current standing in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Orton said these people feel empowered by holding certain positions within the city and they will go to any cost to ensure the positions continue to be held by family or friends.

http://www.standard.net/topics/news/2009/09/1...

GASP! An LDS member would never look down upon those who not LDS, would they? I mean if a person wishes to run for Mayor or otherwise, this is a free country, right? Well, yes, but in Utah, you had better be LDS or you just will not be a part of the "in" crowd.

Childish and simplistic is the only way to survive in this state.

And yet the fact remains that your comments STILL have very little to do with the actual subject of the article.

Its amazimg how little protestants know what good works that we as christians are to do. First of all you have taken your once saved always saved for granted to the point where christians crucify Jesus on the cross over and over and over again every day.
Good works aren't for brownie points they are what you are as a christian. Protestantism has become the laughing joke of the world.
Its not your belief in Jesus its your non- christain behavoir.
Your lust for sex is sinfull. You don't know what sin is. you turn christainity in to paganism. You act like you don't no how to walk in the spirit with Christ. We all are sinners but were are to keep a lid on our potential to sin. When we repent our sins and ask forgiveness, we are to go and sin no more. Not to continue sinning. You are pagans, you need to be converted back to Christ Jesus.
When you look at America and see how morally bankrupt it is, who's fault is it? Its protestants. Youv'e taken your once saved always and turned into paganism. So now are pagans saved? NO!

I think we should thank the Jewish Community for all they have done for mankind.

I'll bet we can document far more contributions made by the Jewish community vs. that of the LDS community.

God bless the Rebbe!

You are quite right in our need to remember and thank the Jews. They kept the covenant, the law, and the promises alive through centuries until the Messiah came in the meridian of time. It is because of them, their example and the attempts to live the moral codes provided the fathers that the world was able to receive the Gospel. Remember, Abraham was told his seed would be a blessing to the whole world... all Christiandom, the Islamic world (God help preserve us from their distortions)and the Jewish world look back to their roots in the covenants made and kept by Abraham.

The Saints are only sharing with the world the "Restored" Gospel of Jesus Christ, freed from the errors that have crept in over the centuries by intent or accident from uninspired men, and strengthen by new revelations given by a loving God.

I don't think you even read my post because some of your comments are mindless ramblings against what? who? where? They don't make sense and have nothing to do with what I wrote.
Protestantism is money and power-worshipping big business, while Christianity is an unseen faith.

I agree with some of what you said about Christianity in general, but next time, read before going off the deep end.

I agree - It says somewhere in the Bible that they are a blessing to the countries where they live.

I agree with you, and have to add Catholic and Mormon churches as well.
The Catholic Church has been guilty of using religion to sanction horribly satanic acts from far into the past until today. The Pope should have been prosecuted for his part in the cover-up of molestations by priests. Instead, Catholics WORSHIP him, instead of Christ.
The Mormon Church has been consistently corrupt, promoting evil, including murder. The Church has been very good at using its massive wealth to cover-up the worst, including the fact that two of their attorneys committed hundreds of crimes to protect numerous child abusers, and were able to keep it out of the media.

They all attack and victimize children, making them clearly satanic organizations. The fact that they use God to condone their evil makes it as bad as it gets, spiritually.

The reason is money. STOP DONATING! Get out of those churches and stop being part of the evil.

Mormons are a FINANCIAL success, but what does that matter if you're going to spend eternity in hell?

Ask any Protestant or Catholic leader, and they'll tell you that Mormonism is a CULT, not a Christian church.

Mormons take the Gospel of Jesus and turn it into something else.
They reject the Gospel that Jesus death on the cross paid the price for their sins. Unless they believe that, they're lost.

Mormonism is a total failure.

Yeah, the author never really defined what he was meaning in terms of "success". After re-reading that article after a years' time, the guy seems more and more like an over-educated (at BYU) religious studies professor who has both an overactive vocabulary and imagination.

What authority do "Protestant or Catholic leader[s]" hold to make such a judgment? Haven't they spent centuries accusing each other of heresy, corruption and deceit? What now gives them unquestioned legitimacy? Weren't the Pharisees and Sadducees the legimate religious authorities that were telling their Jewish followers that these "Christians" were a damnable cult too?

Just asking, you know. Have you thought at all about it?
