Editorial: Vote Yes on Measure D, Mt. Diablo school parcel tax

FOR YEARS now, the Mt. Diablo Unified School District resisted the temptation to seek voter backing for additional funding to augment money it receives from the state.

Same old song - "More, more, more!" Where does all the money go? What happened to the Lottery? It was supposed to end all California's education woes. Education is a bottomless pit and I feel soooo sorry for taxpayers. I think those that support Measure D tax should be the ones to pay and those that don't support it should be left alone. Here's an interesting little story from U.S. News & World Report with a hint of what tarnishes all our educational institutions... in one way or another! Shame, shame!
