That is a tragic accident, but going 90 mph on a dark stretch of road and alchol in your system, is not a good mix. I feel badly for the ladies family. Hope the others recover without any complacations from the accident.

Can't wait to see all the assumptions about bikers.

That being said, drinking and driving/riding is stupid! And even more so on a motorcycle.

Thanks guys for setting back all we have done, to change riders images, back several spots.

Drinking and driving is dangerous enough in a car. On a motorcycle it's suicide! Bad scene but at least three idiots are out of the gene pool.

You have to be either a crimicrat or a graduate from APS. Read the story, 1 woman was killed and three went to the hospital and are still in the gene pool.

With that said, alcohol and motorcycles DO NOT mix, this is proof. I bet they don't feel tough right about now.

Why can"t the state make it a law to have any rider on a motorcycle wear a helmet? If kids have to wear helmets on a regular bicycle why don"t riders on motorcycles wear helmets? How many of these riders that got hurt were wearing helmets? The paper claims they were speeding up to 90miles an hour, why?

You are judged by the company you keep. How many people have you annoyed with your exhaust lately?

You must be either a Repugnican or dyslexic. There is NOTHING in the report of this accident about anybody feeling tough. If you want to fantasize in print, try writing a novel--but not in this forum, PLEASE!

P.S. Isn't El Torro Spanish for bulls**t?

Terrible Toro, they are out of the gene pool and into the hospital. They are tough. They lived through a terrible crash. Accidents are far more complex than they appear at first glance. So many factors are involved. Alcohol can be present but have nothing to do with causation. An accident can appear to be one party's fault when in fact it is not. Facts must be discovered, preserved, sifted, analyzed, then conclusions based upon theories thought through over and again. Tests may be necessary. Being judgmental and jumping to a conclusion based upon internal assumptions to pontificate with false self assurance is not really that helpful.
It is too bad the woman was lost in the accident.

Unfortunately the other two people have died. That stretch of road is in Roswell on a street that divides into two directions at a stop light and goes southeast and south. If they had gone southeast it would have taken them on a straight road. South took them to a curve that isn't marked, but then the speed limit is not 80 either.

Their families are in my prayers. This mistake will ruin alot of lives, but maybe if someone else stops doing what they were doing, it will have saved a life or two.

Just a year ago, over 5000 people were killed riding motorcycles of different kinds. The usual ending is involving a collision w/another vehicle. The others follow simple: a motorcycle colliding w/the roadway or some fixed object in the environment. Vehicle failure accounted for less that 3 %. Usually the typical error is due to over braking or running wide on a curve due to excessive speed. Animals, roadway defects was less than 1 %. Now, I'm not saying a deliberate hostile action by a motorist against a motorcycl rider does not happen, but it is very rare. Intersections one of the biggest accident on the list. Weather is not even really a factor. A peripheral vision profile is alot higher, more than 3/4 of all accidents. Mostly, lack of attention to the driving task, ETOH involvement. Remember, less than 2 seconds is allowed in collision avoidance action. Most injuries occur in the area of the ankle, foot, lower leg, knee and thigh upper leg followed by groin injuries (no honey, i've got a headache tonight) So, injury severity increases with speed, and ETOH involvement and motorcycle size. Wearing chaps, boots, jacket, gloves, eyewear, and a helmet is the most single critical factor....too bad these 4 partied beyond civil conditions....RIP

Those that made horrible comments, it will come back to get you. One of the women's daughters is my best friend. How dare you say "at least they are out of the gene pool"? Mistakes are made, people are not perfect. The lady was a gift!!! And, now her daughter is going to have to live the rest of her life without her mother. SHAME on you!!! You just proved what a loser you are.

Why do people not learn to not drink and drive and then going at speed that are too excessive. It is a senseless way to die and you can not win going up against too much alcohol and driving. I feel for the families of those who have to bury their loved ones. It is very sad.
