I am looking for a white iPhone 4. If its black, thats okay. I am willing to trade or buy. I have a Nokia lumia 900. It has a few cracks the screen, but it works perfectly.

If I have an I phone 3GS now and I am wanting an iPhone 4S. I've been looking into unlocked ones but how do they work? Would I be able to keep my number? And how would I go about doing it? Please help!

I am not exactly sure about the unlocked phones, but it was my understanding that if they were unlocked, it voided any type of warranty on the phone. I think the term that my kids used was to jailbreak the phone. We have not tried that, I don't know what they would do if you had unlocked your phone, but I just have the kids to pay for their songs that way there is no question. Plus it is a matter of ethics, make them earn what they spend. If you hear of anyone looking for an Iphone 3Gs please lmk as this one is in perfect condition, he is just like the rest of the kids, he had to have the latest edition. Now it is the 5, and still too expensive.

Actually, unlocked means it isn't locked to a specific carrier, such as att or Verizon. This means it has to be capable of using either type of network. Jailbreaking has nothing to do with downloading songs illegally. It has to do with people being able to make programs for a phone that the restrictive nature of the manufacturers marketplace won't allow, for whatever reason, and few times having anything to do with piracy. Sometimes they don't approve programs, for instance, because it would be competitive with their own apps.

No, you would still require a sub to a network.

I don't know how else to ask this?! I'm not explaining myself I guess, I have an iPhone 3GS. I want an iPhone 4. I'm not due for an upgrade so I am currently on an AT&T plan how would I switch to the unlocked iPhone 4?
Call att

All you would need to do is call AT&T and give them the ime and serial numbers. You don't have to buy the phone from them just switch the phone to their network. You already pay for the service, they can't deny it to you. Hope that helps!
