I think these girls run through life without a clue. Their parents and friends say. They work hard. My ass, it's must be a real hard task to be born pretty and hard to on 50 pounds of make up on one face. They disgust me. I had to get that out because I've been seeing a lot of them around here.

Nope cause I didn't do pageants and have no will to keep my daughter in them if she says no or if she wants to quit. What about the parents that force their child to play sports or cheer leading their living through their child to huh?

My daughter is a young national pageant winner and I guarantee you that to win she had to get in front of an audience of 1000 and introduce herself over a microphone and interview with 7 judges. It wasn't all about a pretty face although she is beautiful as well. They also have to rank high academically! I bet she can go in right now and interview for a job and get it when most adults aren't able to do a speech about Bullying or The Effects Ones Decisions makes on His/Her Life or get a job when 200 people are applying for that same job. She also has to do service work to rank as high as she did. Those of you that down pageant girls need to understand that it is preparing them for just as much, if not more, than a football player, basketball player, cheerleader , or someone that wants to be a doctor or chemical engineer. There is money that can be made for their scholarship fund if they are blessed to be the total package! And for those that say their parents are living their life through their daughters...I don't have to. I never wanted to do pageants but my daughter does and if she does I am the kind of mom that will let her explore it And do it if it doesn't change her from being the kind, caring girl she is. It's her Destiny!! She may be the next Top designer or model or professional dancer or senator or...the sky is the limit! That's what I teach her!

Still teaches you nothing. And yes all she'll be is a spoiled little pretty face and won't understand how to work for a living in stead of mommy or daddy's money.

I entered my daughter in one pageant cause her was doing them and she really wanted to try one. Before the pageant began, a lady announced that for a better chance of your daughter winning in her age group we could one extra vote per $1 donated. Seems to me you can by a win which means you didn't really win. Not sure if that's common practice because she thought it was stupid and never went to another. Don't matter though because even though we refused to pay the extra she one first for her age group. ( she's 9 )

It's like anything else if it starts to define who they are it can be a horrible thing.
