Volunteers Help Area Shelter Grow

There is new hope for a local shelter aimed at helping those that can't help themselves.

oh yeah it sure is was really so sad they had to turn so many ppl away.i didnt realize so many in the graves area were so poor :/

I never been homeless by choice I had to leave my home because of Domestic Violence, Im foreer grateful for The Merrymen House (women aware)Ive never been to the light house but all in all they are a safe place for you to be !

Can you believe they have had to turn away that many people - the article said:
"Mayfield's Lighthouse Shelter has already had to turn more than 100,000 people away because it's too small."
My goodness, where are they all coming from?

I'm so encouraged by this article, what a great thing to be happening. There should be more things like this going on.
One never knows when they will be in this position, and may need a helping hand.
I think it's wonderful.
