IS the soil in Hartwell good for Nut/Fruit tree's???

I'm looking at a few acres for sale in the Hartwell area where I want to plant a small fruit and nut tree orchard. Just wondering how the soil is there.

I know it's clay but is it good for an orchard? Does the soil there have decent drainage, or does the water just sit on top of the soil with nowhere to go.

Thanks in advance,
Dom
