Bother someone else, we don't have to like you.

LOL, just get out of that town. Plenty of people don't mind ink. I think it is just seems more prevalant in such a small town. Did you grow up there? I will tell you that as a business professional, I have had to turn people down, because they have tats in places that CAN'T be covered. And that just doesn't work in the field that I am in.I have helped two people get some lasered off their necks. You should really put alot of thought into where they are placed. You have an entire torso. BUT, I figure if you spend that much money on tattoos, please don't get offended when I look. I thought that was the purpose.

We dont mind sharing our work..i know I show mine proudly! My fave being done by a local professional. I came from Dallas and I have been involved in the goth scene in Dallas many years now. Though I live in Paris I still stay up to date on events, news, ect. I have started seeing more and more people of body art. Maybe Paris will one day have a bigger scene.

The ta toe itself is not ugly it is just stigmatized with the use of drugs and dishonesty even though it should not be. Many things are unjust in society that are bigger than tats. You did it to impress your friends and you liked the art factor, but you must have thought about the impact it would have on you. In today's information world Facebook and such one accidental picture of even a hidden tat could cost you your job. People in small towns love to sterotype anyone different as evil which simple is not true. I'm sure you've heard the story of the scarlet A. Which was a tat the Christians forced on any woman they thought might have been unfaithful to their husband. Tats and brands have been associated in the past history, and some people have nothing better to do than to look for a reason to hurt people with Tats, different races, different sexual preferences or anything they can judge others by which is nothing but hypocritical since the Bible says "Tho shall not Judge Others." Guess they just can't help it.(Do not read replies because most are just rude and it is not necessary)

I for one am not a tattoo person. I personally can not stand them. I have seen some very pretty ones. I can not stand those people who get their face and neck done. To me that is tacky. Women who get their upper chest tattooed with a huge name across it is tacky also. Most tats are tasteless but there are some that are very artful and beautiful.

Are you so clueless that you think you're being "original" by imitating a bunch of other people who all want to be alike in their "wierdness"? If you really want to be original, do something nobody else has done ... and right now, tattoos isn't it!

While we are on the subject of God I thought thou shall not judge but to accept man as they are?You seem to have a problem yourself other wise you would not judge someone on appearances.I personally have no tattoos myself but I dont judge others who do!!

Im a woman and I have tattoos Im not covered with them or anything crazy But I dont see anything wrong with them! Its your body you choose how you dress why not choose how you display your art! I do agree with the person who started this post. Paris people can be very rude about it. I walked into chili's picking up a to go order I had my hair pulled back I have a symbol on the back of my neck a man came up behind me and said why would you get a tattoo there you need to put your hair down. I turned around and looked at that man and I told him Sir its none of your business what I do with my body and quite frankly your very out of line for insulting me in that manner. People can be very harsh and judge you thats what you get in this small conservative town. Dont let it bring you down just let them hate on you there just jealous because you can rock a sleeve and they cant even rock a butterfly on there back haha

Here's an idea: stop caring what other people think! I don't know about you, but I got my tattoos for ME, not because I'm "weird," or just want to be noticed. I am female, have a lot of ink and I have never felt looked down upon. Even if I did, I wouldn't care. Tattoos are a personal decision. If you get something in a visible place, people are going to look and judge. But the least everyone can do is get GOOD QUALITY work! Even tattooed people judge people with stick'n'poke horrible prison-esque tattoos. That is what gives the rest of us a bad name.

It is just a cry for attention, right?

I will say that you may do what you want with your body. However, when it comes to "rocking" them in the workplace. They are subject to ridicule and rightfully so. Cover them up. Don't get crap tattooed on your neck or face, back of your hands, etc. If you want to stand out as a freak, don't expect everyone else to think you are normal. They do NOT have to accept you. Just like you don't have to accept them smoking while you eat, or burping, farting, etc in public. You cannot expect others to accept what you do. It is their prerogative to NOT. SO, if you expect to occupy any normal public position of work, you have to conform to the societal expectations of the general community that you will be working. If you want to work in a mechanic shop, or harley shop, or bar, get after it! Go get'em! People expect to see that stuff there. No big deal!

What do you think the scripture that we are to abstain from "all appearance" of evil means? God never said "accept man as they are." YOu don't judge others? What did you do when you accused the other poster of being judgmental? Anyway, if tattoos are not to draw attention, why get them?

If you don't want people noticing your tattoo, why do you wear your hair up? People who get tattoos are screaming for attention.
