Emil Zhiltsov, a student at Lone Star College The Woodlands Texas, pulled this mans girlfriends out of the water who was also drowning, he was on the pontoon boat in one of the pictures. He then swam into the whirlpool and tried to rescue the man but after fighting to do so the man disappeared. Emil resides in Spring Texas and is in Destin with friends for Spring Break. He was terribly upset that his attempt to save the man failed but we congratulate his heroic efforts as he was the only one who risked life and limb and tried to help by risking his own life.
