Common Sense is a thing of the past. If a police officer did this to a person, it would be police brutality!!!! TSA did it, so, it is normal procedure. They need to rethink the whole thing. What a shame. Reputation and dignity are all we have left at that stage of life. TSA - what a crock of ..........

This is why we need a useable national passenger rail system. Flying is not even worth the hassle anymore.
Are you kidding? They'll just hire more TSA goons to grope people at the train stations as well.

Certainly there were many parties who could have offered greater sensitivity. TSA has to follow protocol or someone will use a 95 year old woman to smuggle something onto a plane. And then the outcry will be great.
The airline should certainly be prepared with a store of emergency diapers, and it made little sense to take the woman to a bathroom to strip down and then return. And certainly things like this don't need to make headlines.
DHS should expand its authority to randomly stopping and searching people of color who live in inner city neighborhoods. I'm sure you wouldn't have any problem with it as long as they did it "sensitively."

Until we grow the stones to get away from the PC disease and PROFILE we will never be able to enjoy travel like we once did. Our leaders are pathetic cowards. You don't want to be profiled? Then stay out of the USA.

The TSA is really just an undercover 3C Train support group. They are trying to discourage everyone from flying so that we will ride trains. Unfortunately Kasich hasn't been patted down/violated yet.

I agree. I cannot believe a frail 95 year old woman in a wheelchair would be subjected to this torture.
Yet, a middle eastern person with full garb and dress and a history of travel in countries that hate us is given a hands off approach.
My 83 year old Dad with a knee replacement waa nearly rectal cavity searched when we flew together. While I have fun with my terrorist Dad about that experience it really is not necessary for TSA to go after people like that.
They need to do like Israel does and make no apologies to those they feel fit the profile of a terroist.
The politically correct morons in this country need to just shut up.

Let me just say that I will try to compose myself so that I can make a rational comment to this story at a later time. I have not seen or heard of a story that has ever made me as angry as I feel right now.

I was in line at the airport in Oakland. The only two airport wheelchairs were being used by two elderly women. One appeared to be frail and in her late 80's. The other was ill and obese. The airport personnel who assisted them took them to the check in line. The frail elderly woman had to get out of the airport wheelchair, put her cane through the x-ray machine and then hobble unassisted through the scanner. Ditto for the other woman. They had to wait for a few minutes on the other side while the TSA agents wiped down the airport wheelchairs with cloths to see if there were drugs or bombs on/in them. The wheelchairs were the airport wheelchairs! They were brought to the check-in by their agents! Meanwhile they double x-rayed & checked a 5 year old's Dora backpack and removed a set of watercolors (the kind in a plastic tray with a small brush). They must have thought those were dangerous also. Yet the airlines let a guy named Makmoud fraudulently use my credit card to buy a $2300 airline ticket and travel from England to South Africa and never checked or stopped him.

This is liberalism at its best. Liberals are so affraid to profile the Moo Slums that they are willing to destroy the very people they are supposed to protect.

This is the result of bleeding heart liberal policies that defer to the Moo Slums while imposing harsh restraints on law abiding citizens. If she had been wearing a "burqa" or a "hijab" she would not have been searched at all.
