How sad for her that she predicted that she would die in jail?! As far as I am concerned, she should not have been allowed to get out of prison on a bond. Once convicted and sent to prison you should stay there. After all, she did kill two very innocent teenagers, one being her own daughter. I say boo hoo, prison is a horrible place to be, hopefully she will find a way to heaven while she is in there.

I'm watching the special on TV right now on Mary Hill. I'm glad she's going to prison...Chevy Nova's don't accelerate by themselves, let alone seventy-thousand dollar BMW's. I feel no sympathy.

Isn't it strange that two innocent teenagers sitting in the backseat were killed, whereas the driver was barely harmed? Isn't it true that Mrs. Hill was psychologically unstable and had taken cocaine before? She doesn't seem so innocent.

This is an example of true "American Witch-Hunting Justice". Yes, this woman Mary Hill is a dispictable character, but there is significant doubt as to whether she did this in a state of emotional unbalance. The car may have done the killing. How horrible and unchristian that this woman, in spite of herself, was convicted.
Shame on the judge in this case and shame on the biased all "FEMALE" jury. "You" should all be put in prison. It makes me ashamed to be an american. Your stupid, PLAIN DOWNRIGHT STUPID WEAK AMERICANS!

She didn't kill anyone, it was a horrible accident. A 15 year sentence is outrageous. If some scumbag got in a bar fight and killed someone, he would probably get 5 years or less. Drunk drivers are another story, they should all be locked up and throw away the key.

Sorry, but Mary Hill didn't convince me, she couldn't look her interviewers in the eye, was always looking elsewhere or had her eyes closed. There was an eye witness who said she almost sideswiped him, overshot a red light, then burned rubber from a dead stop down the road before she wiped out. Christian? Give me a break. The woman was an unstable mess who it appears never should have been driving. How "Christian" is it to never never apologized to the family whos daughter she killed until she was sentenced? Don't underestimate a jury who watched this woman and heard the evidence. She should be put away before she kills someone else.

After watching 48 hours report on the story of Mary Hill I think how sad it is that she has lost everything she had and new and most of all lost her own loving little girl.I feel there is a chance that the car did in fact have a falt with the cruse control for I too have this happen to me but my children were all ok,only I was hurt...Maybe I should thank God that only my children were in the car and there was no one to fight to call me a killer.I strongly feel that this is what keep poor Kerrie's mom going...WHAT A SAME...To cause more hurt and pain to someone who is already hurting for what happened way more than she..If she were in Mary's shoes I wonder how she would feel.I'm sure the two angles in heaven saken their heads and sheading a tear over the pure anger that drives Kerrie's mom...What a shame..Kerrie's mom is all that stands for the ugly that comes betweens their forever friendship...and the last thought..I as a mother would not let my children ride in a car with someone that I thought may be even the slightest bit unstable so that makes me wounder when is Kerrie's mom going to answer for her lack of good judgement...For she is surly making she Mary pays for something that may have been beyound her controll!!!!

For all you idiots who believe that the car did not malfunction, go to this site and LOOK at the evidence that it does exist. She should not be in prison and is a victim of a grieving mother looking for vengeance and a money hungry daughter and paid testimonies for the government. And of course the prosecutors will not back down because it shows that they make mistakes... just like the idiot who charged the Duke kids for rape... I hope in time she is vindicated and released to try to find some happiness in the rest of her wrecked life.

Hey Bernie, I think you are the idiot. While the cars may have a problem. It wasn't the case here. It's an excuse dug up by her lawyers. They can use the internet too. The eye witness who she almost hit coming to a stop light and almost through the light shows she had control. She couldn't look anyone in the eye when answering questions. I have seen that type of liar many times in my work. The jury did a fine job as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, she probably won't be because while it has been proven that cruise control can fail, her BMW was not a 318, it was a 5 series. her BMW(like many)had steering wheel buttons that controlled that feature. What is possible is that she accidentally pressed the "resume" button, and the car was moving to the previously set speed, however applying would have canceled it, so who knows

I'm a certified auto technician, do I think it's possible the car malfunctioned? Yes. However, currently going through a divorce with a woman who suffers from depression, and has exibited the same behavior with me and the children in the car, leads me to believe it was probably her and not the cars fault. People just don't want to believe a mother could be capable of intentionally harming her own children, but if the father would have been driving the car?? I can only immagine what public reaction would be then!

Audi had a problem in the 80's w/ unexplained acceleration. That doesn't explain away not only the overshoot of the light, reverse to back out of the intersection, and then rabbit start and accelerating to 70 or 80 mph. What I don't understand is, given the amount of time between the green light and the tree, and her own admission that she couldn't understand why braking wasn't stopping the car (i.e. she seemed to have some of her wits about her), why not turn off the key, or shift into neutral? One really must always be ready for the unexpected.

It all seems to irronic that an I wittness saw her speed by him almost sideswipping him over shoot a red light, stp, back up , and rabbit start from the light. Also the boy in the back looked back at him , almost saying help us! This all points to me that she was either upset about somthing in her life... lets face it, I think we can honestly say we have done this with a car when upset or she just drove like a idiot all the time, or most of the time and masde it to her destination untill this day. Acceleration was a problem in a small amount of this model car. Not this one! A professional shows in court that the computer shows no problem and the events that led up to this is all to damning in her defense. Jail term means a lot, but not to what she will have to live with the rest of her life. Those few minutes over and over forever.

I watched 48 hours and even if this lady was at
fault for certain issues, she was not intoxicated
and the sentencing she recieved is along that line. Wouldn't it be a shame if her car did malfunction and she rec'd this sentence. I do feel
if she was negligent she should have to serve "some"
time and mostly I think some community service
speaking to schools and students would accomplish
so much more. If she ever did anything like this
again, then punish her to the fullest, but give
her a chance to prove herself.

Whatever- She's a drug addict with really bad rage issues. Not to mention bad judgement. Who drives like that with other peoples children in the car? I may have a tiny chance at believing her if she hadn't of backed up and sped off at the stop light before the accident occurred . Wake up dude.

How many more kids should she have to kill under your "schedule" in order to properly punish her? Manslaughter is zero tolerance.
