Harrison County Man Dead After Altercation

Rumor has it that there was a ballbat found at the scene that was apparently used and David DeBerry's finger prints were not on it.... Maybe someone should investigate a little further!!!!

He did not come from a good family. He has been in and out of the system for most of his life. He brother is the same way and it looks like his sister is heading down the same road. His mother is a crack head and has been in a crack house for at least 6 months. His father is an abusive drunk who doesn't understand the first thing about being a parent. I say get the family help... don't just lock them up since he was never taught anything about love or how to handle his anger.... this was strickly an accident, but who knows his family better than him.

the rumor you heard was wrong, i live close to where it happened. friends and family of the guy killed are going to the swamp b/c that is where they were going to push the guys truck so thats probably where the weapon is. it was a baseball bat wrapped in barb wire. thats what the talk of the town is.

You all don't know what really happened because you were not... just like I wasn't, but I know for FACT that David did not intentionally kill this man... He is having a very hard time dealing with this... The Guy had a FREAKIN HEART ATTACK, and he swung at David FIRST. David does not deserve to get charged with MURDER it should just be a simple Assault charge at best. And NO I am not being one sided because I know David better than any one else.... That how it should be for anyone... He died of a heart attack not a gun shot

Cody was a good guy, who helped many people in his life, any one who knew him...knows that the little boy..wasn't alone in this...there were others, and they all will have there day...he was robbed..and beaten, and no matter what you hear..ONE LITTLE BOY, didn't do this alone. i agree with the sister...there were others...deberry was not alone....he would not have had the heart attack if he was not beaten to death...i do know that cody will be be missed since I knew that he was a good guy..he did not deserve this..and YES..I too agree that the other ones that were involved should NOT be walking the streets

You know I don't care about what kind of family this kid care from..." hear the sound of the worlds smallest violin playing for this murderer" That kid stole my dad's life, I know people who came from worest situation...by far...and is graduating from collage...so don't say that! Life is what you make it, that jerk stole my son's Papap...stole the person I talked to everynight, see I moved to Texas and I have not seen my dad in a long time, i didn't get to say goodbye, not a single hug in over a year..this july will be two years since I seen my dad. Matter of fact that money that kid stole from my dad was money he was going to use to come see me. No one knows anything about anything, I knew my dad though, his heart and soul...he would never hurt anyone, hell my dad was a big scardy cat...didn't even like to watch horror movies...people make me sick to think that I am suppose to have forgivness for this kid, forget it!! He knew what he did, shows no remorese...he should pay!

That was my dad, I knew his heart, he was a good man, a good grandfather...and my family is good peoples...yeah he had some problems...who doesn't but when you defend killers...the person who took my dad...you shut your mouth! maybe I should send your picturs of my dad holding his grandchildren and then tell me who has a big mouth! I love my dad...I knew him better then anyone...and the only drugs he did were the ones that were perscribed to him, he told me..he told me everything about himself, see I live in texas I haven't seen my dad in over a year, but I talked to him everynight on the phone, I could tell if he was drinking..matter of fact we had a toxicology report done on him...he was sober..so you know what...you shut up, because if your opinion is that my dad has a big mouth when he drinks, then you should meet his daughter and i don't even drink...I have a big mouth and is not afraid to use it!!

who cares, that kid had NO business beating up anyone with a bat, that could cause murder, so yes it was intentional, my dad had a bad heart, he even had major heart surgery...i hope that David is having a hard time dealing with this, let me tell you...I bet i can speak for my entire family in saying we are having even a harder time, David has a life, a working body, a brain to think with...my dad is with God..which is the only thought that is keeping me together through all of this...I can never see him again...my dad and I were very close, he loved his grandchildren and his family so much, he did anything for me, they stole the money my dad had in is pockett, he was going to use to come to Texas to see me...he loved my son so much and didn't even get to see him or say goodbye.
