WOW! These comments are coming as if people were in at the house in the room when all of took place. Why not go and arrest the parent who neglects their kids, put their own selfish desires before theirs and fail to render support to them in their time of need are really no better than one who physically beat their kids. Some parents are arounds their kids, but so absent that the kids call them by their first name. They won't spend time with their kids and will leave raising them to someone, but the want the Parent of the Year Award. Gimme a break! I am sure that there would be enough evidence to charge and convict you too if folks peek through your window. Child abuse is child abuse. Sometimes the physical wounds heal faster than the emotional and mental scars. The pot need not call the kettle black. What is important is that justice takes its course.

Wow. Let's get this straight. A woman who took a baseball bat to her husband that night to try and stop him has been charged. Yes, I have it on very good authority she tried to stop her husband with a baseball bat and now she is in jail! Someone needs to think about the girls and ask if this is in their best interests. Their brother is gone, their father will likely be in jail for the rest of his life and now mom might be going to jail? This isn't justice. These girls need their mom, not the government to raise the kids. God bless them all.
Don't be so quick to judge when you don't know all of the facts. Are you living in a glass house?

People, this is one of my best friends you are speaking of. She did all she could do to protect her son. She did not let him be beat to death by his father. She did not stand by cheering her husband on…She came to her child's aid as soon as she realized what was happening. Instead of making the ignorant comments that you have been making about something that you have no details about, try taking it to God in prayer. Let's please keep our focus on two other innocent children who woke up Tuesday morning and life was normal as they knew it. By Tuesday afternoon they lost their mother, their father, and their brother. Now, they have to find a new normal and how do you do that when you are a child and don't truly understand what is going on? Please stop with the rude comments and pray for this family as you would expect someone to do if this were you.

She picked a thug to have babies with. If they let her out she'll just pick another thug to have more babies with and then there will be more police involvement.

How do you know this man is a thug? Did Rusty Yates know he married a lunatic? No he did not, she went insane over time (so they say) In no way am I defending what he did because if it were my kid he would have been gone a long time ago. We just really need to find out the facts before judging them. If in fact he did beat the child to death then he deserve what he gets.

It's just evident how carnal people are, but I hear you all, Living in a glass house, Annoyed in Garland and Madd Citizen. I find it so amazing how people, because no has seen their skeletons are have been able to look into their private lives, are so quick to talk what they do not know about people about folks that they do not know. I, too, know Tracye personally and have know Terence since he was in high school. Be they right or wrong, they have more support than people are aware of. Whatever wrong was done should not go unpunished, but at the same time, none of us here knows what took place. Why? The answer is... because we were not there!!!!! As much as it hurts to say and God knows that I do not want to sound insensitive in no way, because that is far from being the case, butJonathon is gone and he is not coming back. However, if we really want to be effective and try to help matters, let's pray for these three precious daughters who have to lie down each night and wake up each morning to deal with the loss of their brother, their father and mother/step-mother; their very lives being dismantled. In all of our talking and posting here can we honestly say that we feel their pain? I cried when I first received the news and wept that Jonathon's service, but I still cannot begin to feel their pain and suffering. Living in a glass house, Annoyed in Garland and Madd Citizen, thank you all for your comments as I know that someone else praying. Remember, one can chase a thousand and two can put ten thousand to a flight. Grace and peace.

The bottom line is this: This is just a travesty no matter how you look at it. There are no winners in it at all. Like most tradgedies there are a number of circumstances that got out of control on all levels. Everyone invloved knows their role in this series of events and they know who they are. A child is gone and a family is reeling out of control. Rather than be so mean in your comments (yes punishment is needed) why not consider what goes on in YOUR family and stop the madness there. Yes you can pray for this family because they definately need it. BUT think of the disfunction in your own family and think about getting it resolved and fixed so that you don't end up in the same situation. Go somewhere and love your own child or be a better parent or go help someone. Anyone can sit around and look on the outside and make comments.... But start today and be a better you in your own world! It's too late for Jonathan.May God help us all!

I don't know you...but I know this family very well. When I state that I am one of the best friends of the mother of Jonathon I mean just what I say. Trust me, she would never allow and I do mean NEVER allow anyone to hurt her son intentionally. I know the father of this boy as well and I'm not sure what made him go to the extreme that he did but he loved his baby boy. Just pray, please?

Typically when people I don't know say things it doesn't normally bother me. But I must say that your comment actually hurt me just a tad. No one is making excuses for what happened but I know that Tracye, one of my best friends, would never allow such a thing. I wish I could state more but legally I can't. Just know that I would never be friends with someone that hurt children or allowed it to be hurt. I was abused as a child so I care deeply what happens to children. I even get offended when people yell at their children....that's how much I love children. But, if you can, please just be in prayer until the truth surfaces....Please? I appreciate you in advance.
