Lots of theft in DeSoto..

There have been alot of thefts in DeSoto, the last month or so. Tires have been stolen from three different business, they have caught the man who did that. The lawnmower sales and repair place just North of town has been broken into numerous times, alot of $$ loss there. Beware and keep your eyes open. If you have any information contact the Police or Sheriffs Office.

Please call the Police when you see something that is not right put a stop to it now and don't let it get out of hand . DeSoto is a nice place to live and lets keep it that way .

DeSoto IS a nice place to live. I was raised in DeSoto but now live in Boise Idaho. Although I do love it in Boise, I just can't help but get homesick for the lifestyle back home. Its slow paced and rural. I really miss my family, the trees and the courtesy extended by your neighbors. I don't see me coming back to DeSoto to live, but I wouldn't hate it if I did.

Does anyone know what shop on main street in desoto they found all the stolen stuff in? I heard it on j98 radio I think it was a construction company.

Times change, people change, etc. There are quite a few issues with drugs in that town, just like everywhere else but it's such a small town it seems to be overrun with drugs. The older generation is being pushed aside. Noone cares about heritage anymore it seems.

after 7pm desoto goes down hill FAST..
you got all the meth heads that hang out at the gas station..then ya got the 30yr old guys riding thier bicycles kissing and making out with thier 14yr old girlfriends,then ya got the rednecks with thier 4x4 trucks that wana fight you because you looked at them..lol..then you read other post in here and thier for awhile it was all about the guy on hillcrest riding wheelies on his motorcycle..i hate to admit it..i live in desoto..and if for some reason we have to go anywhere after dark i alway take upperplatin just so i dont have to see all the losers in town..other than that..during the day desoto is a nice lil town

DeSoto is a nice town during the day because all the druggies/drunks are asleep or hungover.

I live on Galveston Island and we have people who walk around in the evenings and we know our neighbors.Thats not hard.We care about our City and don't take it for granted.Go to City councel meetings and complain.When you see drug dealing going on,,, then call the police.Get your neighbors involved. You can take back your neighborhood ,,, and make the City get involved. If you are now going to say ,,, the police don't care!!!!!!!!!Well if you call them enough times and your neighbors call { believe me they will get tired and do something about it } Get ahold of your city councleman for your district and call her / him.Have your neighbors do the same!!!!!!!!!!
