He was my uncle and did not even see this coming. He was a good man and a very hard worker.

He was the grandfather to my grandaughter. She loved her "grandpa Doug". He was a good man and caring. The good lord called him home. I pray that the person that did this to him will receive the max penalty for what he did!!! He took a good person from us all way to soon. He will be missed, his family is our prayers.

I heard about this accident from a friend of mine. I went through elementary through high school and graduated with Shannon Goodpaster - the driver of the car. This is such an awful tragedy for everybody involved. Obviously, the bicyclist paid the ultimate price. It's so very sad. Shannon(Michael) is married with two small children. I can't help but think how in the blink of an eye his whole life is ruined. Making the decision to drink and drive is just plain stupid. Hopefully many others will learn from his mistake. My heart goes out to the family of Doug Wilson.

Small correction, his name is Douglas (Doug) Willison, not Doug Wilson. he went out for a bike ride like he usually does, it helps his insomnia. One person, whos family will also suffer, made a terrible choice that 2 famillies will have to face for the rest of their lives. Soo sad. He was a good man. Hes with God now.

Douglas Willison was the grandpa to my god daughter and a good man. I have grown up in Yucca Valley and have always felt it was a great place to live, raise a family and better kept as a small town. After seeing first hand the blatant disregard for a grieving family from more than one community organization I am sickened that this town, i have defended, could treat the loss of a beautiful person as the killers tradgety. Is this town so small minded that the worry and concern for a killer is more of a concern than an innocent victim? Just because the killer was on some board and new council members.

As for him having a family and small children, that was up to him to think about them before driving drunk. I too have children and like any parent think of them before I make life threatening choices. It was his responsibility to do the same, I don't care who he is or who he knows. He did not think of the price his family would pay for his bad choices. If he is the kind of person to drive drunk it is probably not the first time. Or does it have to be someone you love to put it in proper perspective?

Or do you have to be on a town board and new council members to be counted.

Daily Horoscope for December 12

Libra

There is a strong accent on communicating with others at the moment and this is another day when you're blessed with the ability to hit it off with everyone you meet. This is just what you need if you see a rather tricky neighbor bearing down on you and you think it would look a bit obvious if you dived into the nearest hedge in order to avoid them. Just smile and all will be well.
