Is this the most obvious attempt to round up people with outstanding warrants, or what? Not that I'm against that or anything...

I laugh at the concept of a "tax refund". This article is written as if it is a foregone conclusion that EVERYBODY gets a tax refund. In fact, a lot of people over-withhold to the point that they do get a sizable refund, when all that does is gives the government an interest-free loan.

I guess that most people just aren't smart enough to do the calculations to make sure that they minimize the amount of their refund.

Get your refund, if you qualify, and run with it or spend it before the governor taxes it!

This is Minnesota's propaganda machine at work. I almost agree with sw mn guy. In my early years in the regular army I always payed MN tax but never filed for a refund. Talking almost 30 years ago. In 2007 I won a claim for unemployment only to have it overturned by a judge saying that I had to pay back 1300 dollars. Thank god I don't live in Mn anymore. The Federal government trumps Mn. Even though Mn thinks it is the Federal government. Minnesota can never touch my income. My taxes go to North Dakota and the Feds and not to the shag Pawlenty people. My credit is outstanding, and there is not a damn thing Mn can do about it. Infact I read that Mn. has to borrow now because it is so much red tape with it's government, and to think Pawlenty for president?????????? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL NOT!!!!!

Dear IRS, I'm sorry to inform you that I'm not going to be able to pay the taxes owed on April 15th, but all is not lost. I paid these taxes, accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, CDL tax, corporate income tax, dog license tax, federal income tax, unemployment tax, gas tax, hunting license tax, fishing license tax, waterfowl stamp tax, inheritance tax, inventory tax, liquor tax, luxury tax, Medicare tax, city tax, school and county property tax up to 33% the last four years. Real estate tax, Social Security tax, road use tax, toll road tax, state and city sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, sales franchise tax, state unemployment tax, federal excise tax, telephone tax, telephone federal state and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone state and local tax, utility tax, vehicle tax, registration tax, capital gains tax, lease severance tax, oil and gas assessment tax, property tax, sales tax and many more I can't recall and I've run out of space and money.

When you do not receive my check April 15th, just know that it was an honest mistake. Please treat me the same as the way you've treated Congressman Charlie Rangel, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank, ex-congressman Tom Daschle and, of course, your boss, Timothy Geithner. No penalties, no interest.

PS, I'll make at least a partial payment as soon as I get my stimulus check.
